Hi just wondering a week ago I was up to 800 posts. Now today I am at 227..What happened? Is this a bug or another reason?

I have no explanation for your loss of posts, Ashlyn. I just went back through three weeks of logs and no more than a handful of threads were physically removed from the forum, and most of these only had a single post, none of which were yours. If there is a glitch in the system, other than being occasionally maddeningly slow, I am unaware of it, and even then, there should be some sort of record of threads being removed (post counts do not change when threads are locked, which occurs regularly, especially on the first of each month).

Has anyone else noticed a large drop in their post counts?

Sharon, I am not sure that I lost any this time around. But I have lost 100 to 300 posts atleast two or three times before. I have asked around and noone really seems to know where they went.

We have done mass deleting of posts in the past, the last about a month ago, when photo threads with deleted photos (by the posters themselves) were removed. So those of you who noticed a drop in your numbers every now and then, that's the most common explanation, especially if you post heavily in the Picture Gallery.

Thanks for the info Sharon.I never have posted in the photo section so it still remains a mystery to me as well

Ashlyn, you haven't been here for a while and you may have only noticed the post count drop when you posted. A couple of months ago, I did a mass deletion of threads from all the sections. The main sections being the intros and the lounge. I myself lost around 800 posts, infact a lot of members did lose quite a few. This is the only time I can see your post count being dropped, a glitch in the system wouldn't lose one persons posts, it would have affected the whole forums database.
