I love experimenting with different ways of doing my eyes. One of the things I think makes a big difference is if you can get your lashes really long and well curled. Anybody have any tips or tricks for doing this? I prefer not to use fake lashes. Also, if anyone has any cool eye makeup looks, I'd love to hear about them.

Thanks,

Michelle

it's all about the liquid liner. you can make perfect thick black lines on your upper lid and also extend them a little for that cat-eye look. i also like to blend shadows.

Michelle,

If you want to get your lashes curled you need a lash curler. Just put your lashes in and squeeze and whallah! curled lashes. Then for added thickness to the lashes put the mascara first on the tops (underside for the bottom lashes). Then allow it to dry a bit before doing the inner sides. Once the mascara has dried go back for a second coating. When doing the bottom lashes, take the tip of the brush and gently run it across all the tips of your lashes. Do this until all the lashes have mascara on them. You'll be surprised at how many lashes you have.

When applying eye shadow, use the dark color (the one that you use to do the eyelids and outer brow) and take the tipped end of the wand and lightly apply under your bottom lashes from the center of your eye out to the end. Under you eye center should be the thinnest coating and let it widen a bit as you go out.

To make youe eyes look bigger you should use a light shadow on the brow bone.

Thanks Allison,

I have some liquid liner that I use sometimes, but I make a lot of mistakes. I guess it just takes practice. Do you use the liquid liner below the eye as well? Do you always use black or brown, or do you vary the liner color with your eyeshadow?

Michelle

P.S. Attached is a photo of me where I was just playing with eyeshadow.

i only use liquid liner on the tops and regular liner on the bottom. too thick on the bottom and it looks sort of 80's.
