SCC stands for Southern Comfort Conference, in my opinion from what ive heard it is bigger and better than Be All, let me find previous years links as they havent updated this year yet

EDIT:- Heres 2007s activity schedule http://www.sccatl.org/activities.htm there are links at the top showing the seminars, expo, marketplace, transmasculine activities and art gallery

You'll like Atlanta. Lost me virginity there with two gorgeous school teachers. On the senior trip no less. Dayem! I miss Atlanta.

MJ: Have a look at Joaan07 posts from last Sept, as she went to the SCC at that time.

Huntress: Sure, we've got plenty of room here for another sister - I'll save you a seat on the plane next to me :hugs:

Seriously. 2010 or later. I can go anywhere, and do anything. So...
It'll be fun down under to:
1. Box a "roo", or maybe stay at an exclusive resort.
2. Go to Coober Pedy. I like Opals.
3. Feed a terrorist to a Big Salty.
4. Party like crazy in Sydney.:drink:
5. Two-wheelin' in the outback.
6. Do what you say for a howlin' good time. The Native's know!

Hugs,
Huntress

Hey, let me know when you are coming and maybe we can meet up. But be warned - there's only 20 million of us here, but it's a huge country.

Not only that, we have the summer in the winter, we're upside down and even the water goes down the plug hole in the opposite direction to the northerrn hemishere.

But the weather is fantastic, the sea and sky is deep blue and the people are great.

Hiya Suzi  and congrats on booking the big va-k!!!:cheer:

I certainly hope, and expect you won't be disappointed. I went this past year, for the first time, and had an a fantabulous time!!! :c9: I was lucky enough to spend alot of time with JoAnn, Roberta Lynn and others from this site, as well as meeting hundreds of other gurls like us while there! I hope to make it this year, but would assign only a 50/50 chance of it at this point.

Thanks for posting!!

Hi Tammi
Well I really hope I can see you and many others from this forum there this year. It's costing me a bomb so I don't ever see myself going more than the one time as much as I'd love to go every year..

Hi Suzy!

Thanks for putting out the word early.
I do plan on returning again this year.
2007 SCC was so much fun and I am so glad I got to meet such wonderful girls like Oohtammi, Roberta Lynn, and a bunch of other lovely ladies.
No crossdresser, closet or not, should miss going to this event because it really is a great time.

Hi Dalece

Here's the link, they will be announcing all the details in the next few days:

http://www.sccatl.org/main.htm

I will be flying into Atlanta on the Friday (26 Sept)
and leaving the US on Monday 6 Oct :(

Wouldn't it be great if as many girls from here as possible can go !

Oh Babies! I am so determined to go to this thing. I've planned for this to be my very first public outing after hiding and denying myself for decades.

I think about it every day. I've already started assembling a wardrobe and fret over how i'm gonna get it all to Atlanta from my little 3rd world country!(50 lb luggage limit! They've got to be kidding? )Rich tourists sometimes FedEx their luggage ahead so they don't have to carry it or go through customs. That's an option, but very expensive.

I check the SCC site ever day for more info, but they're still organizing. I search Flickr for pictures of last years event. The only other forum I belong to is SCC unofficial Yahoo group.

I'm thrilled, but scared. I'm frantic with anticipation. I want it now! I want to meet so many of you.

I'm sounding like a terified schoolgirl!

As much as I hate how time flies so fast as we get older, I'm prayng that the days from now till then just race by. I may have lived my last 4 decades just to get to that one week in September.

Promise me you'll be there! Promise me you'll hold my hand!

Can we organize a Forum meet-up like other groups do?

(heart-pounding) respect & love,

deja

( You! All of you did this to me... Thank you from the bottom of my heart.)

Well I must say - you don't sound very enthusiastic about it ! :heehee:

I know what you mean, I've been planning it for a couple of months now too, as I have so far to come. From what I hear this is truly a fantastic event, the biggest in the US and probably the world. So it's not to be missed.

If you look up SCC on Google you can get some info on how they've run past events, that will give you a good idea of what this years may be like.

Anyway quite a few of us from this forum will be there so I promise you won't be alone. Also your idea of a meet up of every one from this forum is a great idea - well have to arrange something.

love Suzy

Well, you know what the religious folk say: "There's no Christian like a convert!"

Sorry about the teen-age frantic tone , but I don't think I've fully succombed to the Pink Fog since my first message out, which was only about a month ago. I still go to work on time, get my work done with my typical maximum efficiency and haven't had any fights with anybody over issues.

Guess I'm lucky in not having a wife or true SO, just a really good sorta gf "with privileges",and that's how we both like it. She doesn't know yet, but I'm toying with telling her. Cosmopolitan as she is, it'll probably be alright.

Anyway, I'm anxious to hear more about this event from anyone who's been there.

You'll probably be the one from the farthest away, Suzy (Unless anyone's coming from Antarctica), but I'll be in that contingent that has to travel with passports, too...

Have a read through Joaan07 post as she went last year and had a fantastic time.

Hopefully the SCC site will give more details sometime this week

And yes I must be the furthest away.... and I'm coming the long way route too - via Europe.

Last year we did a list of girls.
I also made a suggestion that we wear any type of pink and blue ribbon so that we'll know who's from this site and how to spot one another.
Another girl reserved some tables for us in the ballrooom, during lunches and dinners, so if we can get a good size maybe she can do it again.

My ribbons.

With about a month to go before the first the first SCC Wine Tasting &
Seminar, there are 6 spots left to be filled. Don't miss out on this
opportunity to taste world class Chardonnays from the four corners of
the world with your friends and soon to be friends. The proceeds are being

donated to help support the Scholarship Fund that assists so many in our

community that need help.

My intent has been from the beginning to do something different at SCC
for girls to have fun and learn a little more about ourselves and each
other. If you never been to a wine tasting this is your chance.

You can register at the SCC website http://www.sccatl.org/main.htm and

i have a question: i don't really have the money to pay for the hotel and the conference, and i think it's too late to register anyways. could i just come down for a day and hang out with you ladies? i'd like to check this out and see what it's all about, but can't really afford it. i'll probably come in drab since it's a long drive and i haven't even been out dressed yet.

Yeah, Georgia, you can. But without paying the registration fee you can't go to the seminars or hang at the hospitality suite. Need a badge! But I'm thinking that there won't be any armed guards (LOL) to protect us in the public areas of the hotel like the lounge and entry lounge, where a lot of the girls will be hanging out in the evenings anyway. The smokers, in particular, will have to go outside anyway, right?

We had several really nice admirers and several local girls, dressed and not dressd, come to hang out in the evenings.

Give it a shot!

Many of us will try to be wearing a pink and blue ribbon on our badges so we can find each other. Look for us, or do the same!

Love to meet ya, Georgia, hunny!
