I definitely get edgy and cranky when going through "can't dress stress". As I get older, the period of time it takes to reach that level of moodiness seems to shorten.
You buy a new top, shoes, and jewellery to go with a great skirt without batting an eye, but cringe at the thought of having to buy any new drab clothes.

For me it's tilting my head sideways a bit and brushing hair out of the way to put some nice dangly clip earrings on. Something simple can be so powerful.
