I've been out and about since joining my support group in 2007. But it still makes me nervous before we go on a shopping trip or a restaurant. Just never felt comfortable in front of the general...
I dress fully at home when I'm in the mood. Sadly, the last couple of years have kind of put me off and I've rarely dressed at all. I still attend my CD support group meetings where I get dressed...
When I dream about being dressed, it's usually in an office setting. I'm typing, delivering folders filled with reports to other parts of the building, climbing stairs (in heels!), chatting with...
A dear lady friend of mine bought me two lovely necklaces. One silver and the other in gold. Waiting for the right moment or event to show them off!
On Saturday, I dressed up and went with my group to a lovely Valentine's themed party and drag show. Had a nice time. But on V-day itself, I didn't do anything.
Well, I don't own a French Maid's outfit and I don't wear super high heels. I do love wearing skirts and dresses and I rarely ever go out. So I guess I'm a bit of a cliche. But I don't worry about...
Don't worry Geena, I'm pretty much the same way. Audrey dances but her male persona does not. And right now that's fine, lol...
I don't like going out in public right now. I have no confidence in myself or my appearance right now. I try to present as nicely as I can with full makeup, wig and everything but lately my heart...
I didn't try using makeup until roughly 10 years ago. I was so clumsy at it at first, but thanks to several wonderful cis-gender lady friends, they taught me a lot and urged me to keep practicing. ...
When I attended my very first gala hosted by my friend Lady Ellen in Oct 2015. Had such a lovely time. Marvelous dinner, the entertainment was great and I actually danced after dinner for the first...
I've been called "lovely", "cute", and sometimes "adorable". But I love it when someone refers to me as "doll". Like from the 1940s, lol...
I wear wedge heels when I'm out and about. Very easy to walk in. At home I'll wear 2"-3" pumps depending on my mood. 2" heels are pretty easy for me to walk in and I think they're pretty sexy too.
Level 4. Just bought new breast forms (I'm now a size 50 DD) and they look great! Would toenail and fingernail polish be considered an enhancement? Lol... No plans to go beyond. No transitioning...
Future of crossdressing? Hard to say in my opinion. I think whatever clothing motivates young people, it'll be and can be anything. From a skirt and blouse to a pair of sweatpants. Just because...
LOL! Don't worry April Rose, I age myself all the time, lol... I also have a version of My Handy Man sung by Ethel Waters with James P. Johnson accompanying her on piano. From 1928, lol!
There was a British film called "Just Like A Woman" that showed crossdressing in a positive light and even had a happy ending! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_like_a_Woman_(1992_film)
Sometimes as have dreams as Audrey. One that really stands out for me was dreaming I was chosen to model for Italian Vogue! And I was the cover model too!
I've had many magical experiences dressing up. One of my faves was when I joined my support group, Pathways for the first time back in 2007. Still remember the thrill of walking fully dressed into...
I would never have wanted to be a cheerleader. I would have wanted a baseball uniform instead, lol....
I haven't dressed up since the second week of March. Just been so worried about finances, whether I'll have my old job again when this is over, etc. Haven't felt the urge to relax en femme. I sure...
1) When did you start dressing?
Age 13
2) At what age did you pick your name?
I was probably 45 or 46.
3) why did you pick that name ?
Always liked the name Audrey. Also the name of one of...
Some of my dresses are pretty retro looking (thank you, ModCloth.com, lol). One of my favorites is a red shirtdress that looks like it came from the 1940s! :)
Women's hemlines began to rise around 1925. By 1927 most young "flappers" were wearing dresses at the knees. I actually have reproductions of Sears catalogs from the 20s. Very interesting stuff.
Glad you had such a great day! Treasure it and hold onto those memories!
Not for me. Last year I tried entering their sexy legs contest. Well, they didn't put up my photos until after the contest ENDED! So nobody ever got to vote for my pix because they never saw them....
