it needs to be universal...heck, all the feds require is a document from a medical provider that one is undergoing HRT.
Babbs, only about some 20ish percent of people that are transgender and have transitioned are able to afford GRS. That includes those who started before puberty, I believe.
Chicago City Council passes an ordinance to allow for those using the bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity.
I'm not sure if I want FFS...I think it's a matter of how things look down the road.
Thank you for the support. I'm a month and a half in on HRT right now.
100% THIS. I know for a fact from talking with others that many of us who are transitioning did not start buying women's clothing until AFTER we came to terms with being trans. I've been on HRT for...
Things reached the point in which it was transition or die. I tried pushing things off in order to freeze sperm but living part time in my apartment while presenting as male in public just got to be...
And there are those lesbians who were born with the wrong body but just needed time to figure things out before transitioning and starting HRT.
I'm finding that I identity more with the TS section...

not necessarily. some of us around the boards are definitely TS but needed time to figure...

But I'm not going out completely until I can pass (3 days HRT today).
I think what she means is that she's closer to the TS side of the TG spectrum than the CD side of things. For some of us, it's about more than just clothing. I don't get the high from dressing that...
It would be easier having been born in the right body from the get go than coming to terms with being trans.
Boystown in Chi is LGBT friendly.
You. Are. Lucky!
when wearing mens pants to work, i find myself raising them more towards more my girl waistline then mens waistline.
According to some definitions out there, CD is under the TG umbrella. Not all TGs are TS.
I'm always wearing women's clothing, it's just a matter of wearing what I can get away with outside.
People are coming to terms with being trans are younger ages, too. Part of me knew in middle school that I had the wrong gendered body.
I had a two week stretch with job searching in which I didn't even wear any women's clothing...and I'm a woman to boot.
skinny jeans and top for me. I'll be comfortable in skirts and dresses eventually. For now though, I NEED to buy women's trousers for work.
I wish you the best of luck. I hope you found a good therapist if things go south.
If she loves you, she will accept you for who you are even if it may be DADT.
