    B) .....does your SO think you look younger when dressed and made up. ?

    C) .... Do you feel younger when dressed fem ?

Younger but not a lot. I'm fairly young looking for my age in either mode, by maybe 10 years or so. PM me with your guess.

    A. What my eyes see are meaningless. I go by how I'm perceived by others.

    B. N/A

    C. I've felt younger overall since I've gotten in touch with myself and the feelings.

    D. Usually 15-20 years at least according to comments by others.

    oh Sheila , scary !!
    You read my mind.
Just yesterday, after a shoping trip in which my husband didn't like anything I suggested for her , I asked her how old she was . She answered 10 years off the male age !

Wish I could do that !

People tell me I have a baby face in guy mode, so I look younger than my 46 years.

When made up, yes, I do look younger. I would say, early 30s.

My wife hasn't really seen me dressed in years, so I can't say.

Goo LORD do I feel younger when dressed! My wardrobe choices are not those of a 46 year-old woman.

Overall, I would say that dressing as a woman takes about 15 years or so off of me.

I think it's normal to lose about 10 yrs, with a wig and slap? But IME girls with their own hair tend to look more their actual age..

You can only go by how people tell you how old you look, can't you?

So Sheil - when are you getting a syrup?

I think I look several years younger. It's a wonder what the right foundation can do. I'll need to apply to my hands however. I have heard that the hands never lie.

    D) ..... to all of the above by how many years ?
    A) I don't really look at myself in the mirror when dressed, anymore than I would look at myself in the mirror when dressed as a guy.

    B) No SO for reference.

    C) I feel quite young all the time, other than when my knees are killing me. Then again, I've never 'acted my age'. When I was a kid, I acted like an adult. Now that I'm older, I still act the same way. I guess I'm just an odd sort.

    D) Part of me has been in a state of sort of arrested development for a very long time. Throughout my childhood, I grew up believing that I was supposed to be a girl, and by high school that delusion was shattered as 'god' never fixed the mistake, so the female personality development stopped there, never to continue, as I had to learn to 'be a man'. Yet, something deep inside me still tells me that I'm an adolescent female, and it seems at this point in my life that feeling will never completely go away. So, I dress in attire appropriate for that age girl, mostly styles you would normally find in a 'juniors' section.

    Reality: I'm 52. Going on 14.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

    A) ....when you look in the mirror at your fem self, do you look, to your eyes younger ?
    Definitely.

    B) .....does your SO think you look younger when dressed and made up. ?

No SO nor have ever been married

    C) .... Do you feel younger when dressed fem ?
I feel young no matter if I'm drab or in femme. Although, in femme, I feel more vibrant, free spirited, and relaxed.

    D) ..... to all of the above by how many years ?
    10+ (in drab)
    15 years (in femme)

I'll be 40 in a few months and I've had people say that I haven't aged much in 10 years. Some people have guessed my age between my late 20's to my early 30's and they're always surprised when I tell them my real age. They would never have thought I was as old as I am.

When I'm all dolled up, I people think I'm even younger. Some have guessed me to be in the mid 20's. They're even more shocked when I tell them the truth.

I still get carded when I buy beer or liquor and sometimes when I buy lottery tickets.
Of course there are times when reality kicks in when someone calls me sir. DOH!!!!

    Hugs!

I do look and feel younger when I'm fully dressed. As I said in another thread, my wife says that I beam.

I think that the reason is that there is this girl within fighting this battle to make up for all the years she was suppressed. So my mind does drift back to when I was younger.

I agree. I think those of us with our own hair as opposed to wigs tend to look more our age and also don't look as different in general. I think those with wigs can more easily make themselves not easily recognizable (sometimes by looking younger).
