    High Blood Pressure

Made my trip to the Doctor today Started me on blood pressure meds. He told me I needed to change my lifestyle a bit. Need to loose 15# to get to that "Girly Figure" I have been wanting ! 175#.......Checked me all over even looked for swelling on my ankles! Legs were smooth as glass.........Never batted an eye. He added that I need to excercise and relax more...Reduce stress as much as possible! Guess his perscription might include more dressing days I will be looking forward to being healthy and fit by Halloween!!!!!!!!!! If you know what I mean......Later ladies.

    Good for you!!! Excellent news....

I've been on BP meds for about five years....keeping things in check.

Now I have to get myself in gear....and get the exercise going again.

Joni, sorry to hear you had to go on meds for High Bood Pressure. Think more about wearing those beautiful clothes and loose the stress!

I have been on meds for the same thing for at least 12 years. My main problem is my Cardiologist. My old one (male) retired from patient practice last year and turned me over to a much younger lady doctor. Nothing against women doctors, except this one is too darned pretty to be a Cardiologist!! Just seeing her will raise any mans blood pressure!! But she says nothing about me wearing totally femme clothing and shoes to her office. Nor does she say anything about my perfectly smooth hairless legs and chest. Haven't worn a bra to see her yet, but that is coming!!

If I am not too bold, what size do you wear? I am a size 16 and weigh about the same as you, give or take a pound or two. I am 5' 10".

Oh yeah, I do work out, usually 7 days a week at the local Y. 3 days on weight training and 4 on cardio!

ive just had a stent fitted to my aorta 5weeks ago as it was narrow, something i didnt know tilll last september ive always had.i started getting headaches real bad in 2007,the docs just threw painkillers at me for 2 months then finally took my bp.....234/128!!!
the doc had to take it 3 times not believing it and then asked how am im not dead(way to build confidence)i was put on 2 meds which after tests and appointments became 5 different kinds.just relax its best not to stress about it, that increases the pressure.at least having tolose some weight will help towards that hourglass figure all us girls want.
    hope your better soon

    as above

As the other gurls have said, try not to get too stressed over it.The main thing is you know about it now and the tablets will help. If you carried on not knowing then you don't know what may have happened.
I found out 5 years ago when attending a railway drivers medical. I was put on tablets (1 a day) and ever since my blood pressure has been normal. I am still very overweight (250lbs) but the blood pressure is fine so the two don't correlate directly. Had another medical last year and passed with flying colours - fit to drive trains for another 5 years (I am sensible enough to admit though that i need to slim down as other things can stem from being so overweight).

Mine used to be rather high, somewhere around 185/98 , but then, I also weighed around 245 and would think nothing of downing 2 double quarter pound burgers with cheese and all the fixings plus fries and a milk shake.

Got tired of being tired and began to loose weight and do some exercise. The better I felt the more exercise I did and as a byproduct 80 pounds went away.

Funny thing, doing all this "right stuff" eat right, loose weight, exercise, I still had a heart attack last Oct. Must have shaken something loose so that it clogged up around my heart. Had two stents put in.

Cool side effect of the stents., Niow I get to carry a card saying I have to be hand wanded when going through a metal detector. No more worry about my bra hooks or underwire giving me away. They put it down to the stents being noted.

Oh, BTW my B.P. this morning ( I take it everymorning just to be aware) 116/68 with a pulse rate of 48 ... body weight 175 and no pills.

If the doctor prescribed meds for your BP make sure you take them faithfully. Dressing alone will not keep BP down. I found that out the hard way once.

    Meds and an hourglass figure.

I was put on statins about 5 years ago. Because of high cholesterol.

A side affect has been dropping my blood pressure from about 125/80, to,
    115/70.

MY hourglass figure is created with corsets, bodybriefers, AND my silicone female suit!

    An interesting side affect of using those items is;
I get a VERY GOOD workout putting those things on, then bending and twisting while wearing them. ( To put on and change shoes, nylons, etc. etc.)

After dressing, I'm usually a bit sore and stiff the next day. As if I'd had a strenuous workout!

I have been on blood preassure medications now for close to 5 years as well.

Last Dec. was in the hospital for 10 days, with an infection in my left leg, and the doctor put me on fluid pills as which are doing what they are supposed to do.

I find that when i am out as Denise that my stress level goes down about 90% so that helps my blood preassure. Up till now the time i have availale to be femme is few and far between especially in the summer.

That is about to change within the next month. I will be moving at which time I will be coming our full time as Denise, and that should help as well

I've been on them myself for over 10 years. My BP used to be very high despite being on meds and was often close to stroke leve. Definitely follow your doctors advice on losing weight and changing your diet. Since I've changed my eating habits and have lost weight my BP has been close to normal for the past couple of years.

I went to the local clinic 4 years ago to have my ears cleaned. The doctor took my BP as a routine thing... 210/100. He almost didn't let me out of there. He wanted to put me in the hospital. I took the meds and saw my doctor the next day.

Four months later I had a heart attack. Follow the doctors orders and do the right things. BP is one factor, but you have to educate yourself concerning diet and exercise.

    I consider myself very lucky.

For all these years I have always thought of and enjoyed my dressing as a very healthy way to relieve stress, but even that is not enough.

After years of watching my BP gradually inch up year after year, this past December my doctor finally said "enough".......and off I go to better living through modern chemistry Have been on a daily BP med for six months now (and they do seem to work!) and it will probably be for life.

The funny thing my doctor told me was that even though I was not overweight, had never smoked, drink very little, eat pretty healthly and get regular (but probably not enough) exercise, this was most likely boud to happen anyway as I was never going to beat my sex, age, the job stress and most importantly genetics.

I had to start on BP meds. about a year ago, they did the trick in lowering it. It's time for a checkup this month.
