    Tramp vs Classy

    Hey Girls

I don't know how this topic is going to go down, but it's something that has been on my mind a lot recently. Its about the view by society that CD's are bad.

When I first met Karla and was doing research, I have to say I was repulsed to see that the majority of CD based sites contained nothing but CD's looking like they are trying to imitate porn stars, CD's looking ****ty and giving a bad name to the community at large.

Ok, I try and dress with class. No panties/thongs showing above my dress, a good looking top and a knee length of longer skirt, Nice hair and normal makeup.

To this day, I still see this coming up a lot which I don't think helps towards the negativity in general populous. I like sites where the photos are of CDs doing normal woman's stuff or are dressed formally/conservatively, not looking like they are tramps.

What are your thoughts on this subject?

    Lots of Love,
    Miss Kara

Ps. Sorry if this doesnt make much sense. I didnt get my sleep last night

    I have to agree.
The main reason I was first attracred to this site is that it seems to have much more class than the oithers I have seen.

I agree and I will say most of it is for attention which everyone has a choice to grab for it. For me I stay classy.

I agree completely with you. I have been very offended by many bad websites and images. This one is good, and I'm looking forward to many more visits and postings.

I have to agree with you Karla, I have visited many sites where the dressers are so overdone they actually look fake. I think the vast majority of girls on this forum have enough class to blend into almost any situation and not attract negative attention. But to take it even a step farther, the media portrays us as flambouyant, eccentric, and gay which further erodes our credibility.

You won't find much of the dressing for the public here. Those of us here dress for ourselves and are not trying to please others. We may be trying to pass as best we can, but it is not for the enjoyment of anyone but ourselves. Those that dress as stars ar trying to be noticed we are trying to blend in without being noticed

There are trashy women and there are classy women. Do all trashy women give women as a whole a bad name?

I usually don't get annoyed with topics but I got to say I completely disagree with what your saying. I do not represent all CDs, and WHY should I? I'm supposed to care about what a person thinks who lumps everyone of a certain type together arbitrarily? Screw that!

I represent me. I don't dress up like a lady, I dress like a tramp... deal with it!

Sorry for the attitude but the premise of this thread is ridiculous in my opinion. You're essentially attacking CDs (like me) who don't adhere to YOUR IDEA of what a women is, not cool. I dress the way that makes me feel good, don't know why it's such a big deal to you.

If I could only dress as a woman conservatively... I wouldn't dress at all

I wasn't trying to have a go at anyone, I was putting forward my reaction to it and seeing how other people felt about it. On a level it does annoy me, but thats also coming from the fact that I have never really been attracted to Trashy people to begin with.

In no way was I meaning that people are not allowed to dress how they dress. The opposite in fact, I admire people for their own choices instead of them following Joe public like sheep.

If I did manage to offend people, I am truly sorry

I was also just asking to see if my feelings towards it was wrong, no need to bite my head off

    Lots of Love,
    Miss Kara

Thanks for that. It just felt like you were saying certain people are give CDing a bad name. I appreciate the apology but I still feel a bit insulted, though I understand that wasn't your intention

I totally understand and agree about the atmosphere here because it's about sharing and community, it's not a competition. I don't dress trashy for attention, I do it cause it makes me feel good!

    I THINK it's a dam SHAME, Karla!

That some adults DON'T believe in Santa Claus!

Or that, some CDs DON'T believe CDing has ANYTHING to do with sex!

Now, I wonder if that has ANYTHING to do with the TYPE of clothes some CDs wear?

The best I can do is to look as good as possible, and for me, the classic style is best and what I feel most comfortable in.
For others, there are a number of possibilities that I would not look good in. Not all of them are trashy.

Oh I have to totally 100% agree. I do not want to look like a streetwalker. Sorry but if I dress I want to look normal and as close to passable as I can get. That look is not my taste at all. I want to look like a girl and that is all. To look more like a respectable woman (like my wife) Sorry hunny, but .........

I prefer to look classy and like a lady. Outside of the occastional short skirt, I really don't need to dress in a trashy way. Its more fun being ladylike.

Everyone here I am sure does what makes them most happy and what they can do given their living and work situations. That said there are many looks we can achieve when we cross that gender line and wear women's clothes. Truth is, what is classy to some might be trashy to others, and vice versa. But the "trashier" you are, the more that perhaps you're forgetting you're a crossdresser. I mean if the interest is in dressing, then why show too much skin? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I, too, enjoy this site because there are morals observed and everyone can go at their own pace while being resepectful of what others enjoy. I've seen pictures in other places where a CD "forgot" to put on panties and what's showing under the skirt does not go along with the feminine image.

But there may be room for some trashiness as well. Just look at the number of costumes we can buy online to portray nurses, policewomen, fictional characters, schoolgirls, etc. As long as we enjoy what we do and are digified in how we present that image to others, so what if it's a little naughty? We may not sure our bare legs in full, but a thigh high white stocking gives us an element of naughtiness while only showing a minimum of skin depending on how short the skirt above it is.

We are tring to fit in with GG's sometimes we are trashy and sometimes we are classy. We are no different than GG's its all in were we are going....clubbing,work,shopping ect. The older we get the more we grow out of the trashy trends.

Society in general is hopefully becoming more tolerant of us because they see trans people (I use that term loosely) blending instead of looking like every night is Halloween.

This is an old debate. If you want folks to stop harassing us, based on the goodness of their hearts and not in fear of the law (what law there is), it behooves you to dress appropriately for the venue. This is common sense. We are already on the fringe, let's not make it worse by looking over-sexed, as the British would put it.

That said, we do all have the right to wear what we want when we want. As with free speech, however, there may be consequences to that speech (not from the government, but from the general populace with whom we interact). For example, I can say my boss is a jerk (she's not, she's really great!), but I'd be foolish to think there'd be no ramifications from such a statement. Treat your dressing in a similar manner, please.

    for what it's worth...

While I agree that skimpier clothes on a CD maybe off putting to those outside the community, I think the reason is that it perpetuates the stereotype created by things like the Jerry Springer show.

That being said I would rather there be 100 scantily clad good ambassadors than 1 modestly dressed bad apple.

Classy isn't my style at all. And i don't think i'm in to dressing as a tramp. So i guess i'm something different are nothing at all.
Not in to blending in never have never will. I wear what i want and i do it for myself not others. So whats better classy are trashy there both good, can't say whats better for me b/c i'm still trying to find the look i want.

Surely, if the overriding concern were to fit in then the answer is simple...dress as everyone expects...in guy clothes. (That applies to our F to M members as well, of course )

Facetious remarks aside, I like dressing "tarty" sometimes. It all depends on the venue, the occasion and my own mood. I think that there is a tendency to polarize into two camps here. One view being that it is all about gender and expression, trying to look like the woman inside feels. The other view is that it is all about sex and fetishism, getting off on wearing sexy outfits. I don't think it is that simple. For example I've known GGs who sometimes love to to look sexy...tarty...who love a bit of

I do get a sexual rush from dressing in a provocative "trampy" way and I also get a sense of fulfillment by presenting as a well dressed female. There's no either/or I enjoy both.

    Lil
