Being a Disco CD Chick in the 70's, you know the sexy clothes, heavy makeup and overdone hair with Empire State height Platform shoes....
It has to be France Joli (The Heart to Break the Heart).
That song still does it for me!

This is an interesting question for me.
When in man mode I only like classical music. But as Susy I am into pop, Lady Ga Ga and so on.
It fascinates me that I am such a different being when I am Suzy.
Fascinating!
Have fun, SUZY
Lady Gaga...not original I admit but there it is. With that said...Natalie Merchant, Enya, Crystal Method and trance/techno.
Rather interesting thread...thanks for starting it
If you want to be my friend I will welcome you with open arms.
If you want to judge me, stay away and keep your mouth shut.
Musicals, I love musicals and I love Doris Day!
I strut my stuff, I feel so proud,
I need to shout, to scream out loud,
I am Tricia I am she,
I am who I want to be

There is as much variety as I expected. While I must add that I am a hard rock,Punk, rock, pop Green Day,Metallica, Foo Fighters fan in boy mode It can carry over to girl mode. But there still is something about new pop that reminds me of the 80's when I was a teen. Just a few out now but they have a fun feel again. Yes, they are AutoTuned now but some keep it subtle. Thanks for sharing.
The phoenix has risen the old life is gone
A new life to live has finally begun
There is fun to be had and work to be done
My beauty is radiant my freedom is won
Music in general is a HUGE part of my life. There is no boy or girl mode for me anymore its all just me. But I have noticed that I am much more into things I can dance to recently. In the past year I have started listing to artists such as T-pain Gaga Katy Perry Rihanna and the odd one Blue October (they are a cross-genre band). I have also found a few songs here and there by random similar artists. Im kinda picky about music but I love all types (cept maybe country but I did live with people who listen to nothing but country for so long) maybe some day I will like it again . . . then again maybe not lol!
Madonna is like #1, 2, and 3 on my list. I really like Christina Aguilera too when I’m in a girly mood. I’m loving the Katy Perry song right now. I can’t get it out of my head. Amanda, I know what you mean. I do enjoy pop music much more than my normal musical taste when dressing and feeling fem. Even hearing some of these songs will give me that good girly feeling. One of my favorite songs that gives me that great feeling is Freedom by George Michael. That is my CD girly anthem! The video might be my fav of all time. xx Patti.
Lotsa folks mentioned Katy Perry. I don't necessarily like her, but I will admit that the first time I heard California Gurls, I would have swore that she sang a line about 'the boys in their bikinis'
My ears are tuned weird!

I go to Madonna's CD, Something To Remember. It so reverberates the passion I feel.

When lost, alone, or blue I know I can always get through the day, for I've always another shade of lipstick to make things right!
I don't differentiate, though I tend to skip more misogynistic music when I'm in girl mode.
I have nearly 12,000 tracks in my iTunes and sorting through it all would take me more time than I care to spend on such a task
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."
Oscar Wilde
Mine will probably always be picks from Ayumi Hamasaki's songs.
nobody mentioned Fergie yet?! Hy Humps... London Bridge... they really get me going. And Gwen Stefani too... Hollaback Girl... whenever I here any of those songs I just wanna go get all girled up
My taste in music as Jessica is pretty different than in male mode. Not sure why...
Jessica's favorites:
Pink - Missundaztood cd is my favorite but I like all her stuff.
Lady Gaga
Chemical Brothers
Any techno mix
I do not have any girl or other music cause I'm tone deaf. I do like 50's/60's rock (loud) but no particular gender of groups or individuals. Music just has not been important to me. Most saddles did not have a radio when I was riding the range.

It is somehow interesting that although some styles of music overlap most of my girl music is just that, it makes Alexia perk up and then the old stuff would only fit the old guy.

Hird
Dzihan & Kamien

I listen to a lot of different female singers these days, but mostly I like the sounds of Stevie Nicks, Mediaeval Baebes, Blackmore's Night, and Shirley Manson.

I don't have what you would call "girl" music. I love jazz and have listened to artists from Louis Armstrong to John Coltrane to Wynton Marsalis. On the other hand I guess if I listen to female performers such as Mary Lou Williams and Ella Fitzgerald, does that count?

Suddenly I See is one of my favorite gurls songs , I also like Lady Gaga , and Kelly Clarkston love Stevie Nicks too!
I've found Amanda Blank and Santigold good music to get ready to...
Matisse- Better than her (radio mix)
Oh yeah, Kelly Clarkson is good too. I love "Since You Been Gone", can really relate to that song.
