    What Happens in Vegas...

After a wholesome summer of tennis and golf as girls, my galpal Allie and I needed a little Vegas. What a trip! The first night we loosened up with a bottle of wine, enjoyed crepes at a charming sidewalk café and went to Jubilee, a lavish production featuring topless showgirls, va va voom! I wore the shortest skirt and highest heels in my arsenal...

The next day after $1 margaritas and tacos we did some sightseeing and window shopping before our big night out: dinner at a charming Parisian bistro overlooking the Bellagio fountains, then free passes to Pure, a hot nightclub at Caesars (the bouncer at the door almost rejected my fake ID before he let me in) topped off by a nightcap at a cool cocktail lounge and finally to the tables, where I knocked off an item on my bucket list: rolling the dice at a crowded craps table in a sexy dress...I had a nice long run, it was fun watching the guys placing sidebets, then we moved on to the roulette table where I won $30 betting on red

I’ll let Allie fill in some more of the high spots, she sure is fun to travel with!

Very cool!!! I always love to read Vegas tales, mostly because the place is so dear to my heart and seems to be made for us.

Don't be jealous Kathi. Your own story is waiting to be written. Hint hint hint !!!

Allie is a blast. She really pushes the envelope and told me a lot about you when I was in SF. Hopefully one day ya'll will allow a third wheel to join you. It sounds like a lot of fun hanging with both of you at once.

I would have loved to have seen you having that much fun. It is always a great time in Vegas, a place that seems so open and accepting, almost like if we don't show up everyone else will be disappointed. Don't worry about fake ID in Vegas when you are out En Femme. The bouncers have seen it all and will probably let you in without even a double take.

....It Stays in Vegas - The Details - Part 1

Cissy leaves the details to me because I can't write anything short! So, this post will be very long and also include my first flights en femme. So, where to start?

The first thing I thought about was what to wear for traveling and going out over 2 days in the Sin City. I ended up with 5 outfits one of which was just a blouse change. The next was where to put all of that! I only had a 22" carry-on size roller bag or very large check-in type luggage. Cissy had asked me whether I was going to go out and buy a proper "lady's" suitcase. At first I said no and will make do with what I had. Then as I got my outfits ready with the shoes, jackets, makeup bag, emergency male outfit and toiletry bag, I quickly realized that I now needed that recommended "lady's" mid-sized roll on bag.

Dressed and ready to go the trip to Vegas started with finding a cheap long term parking spot and taking the shuttle in to the airport. That accomplished with a few knowing looks from other passengers and the driver I now had to face the curbside check in and ID check. That went extremely easy with no worries other than my new luggage was identical to the couples luggage that were checking in at the same counter. Would they get mixed and I would end up with "his" bag of drab male clothes? I hoped not and went up to their check in person and asked him to be especially careful to not tag my bag with their baggage claim ticket.

Once into the terminal I was now faced with my most daunting challenge to-date since going out the first time, that dreaded TSA security process. Mentally I was ready with my only real concern was that the metal bones in my waist cincher would set off the walk through metal detector alarm and set me up for the back scatter xray scan which would then single me out for a thorough pat down check once my silicone breast forms and silicone hip and butt pads showed up on their screen. Would they then be satisfied just doing the more thorough pat down, or would they also want me to remove and show them the forms and worse yet, undress down to the point where they would be able to check the silicone hip and butt pads. That would have been a real pain in the butt pads and necessitate redressing into my previous wonderful and beautiful presentation without the use of a full length mirror!

As anticipated the steel waist cincher bones did set off the walk through metal detector alarm. The TSA agent politely asked me to sand aside, called for a female TSA inspector to go to the next step and then began to process the other passengers through the walk though detector that I was now standing next to. After a few minutes the lady inspector arrived and put on her bright blue latex gloves as she led me to a spot right in the middle of two security lines. I was less concerned then about standing in the middle of everybody walking by than what she had in mind to do with those latex gloves. Will this be an inny or outty exam! She then proceeded to clearly and professionally explain the process that I was about to experience. It was a very detailed explanation and actual pat down as I stood there like a pretty scarecrow with my arms extended to my sides in my finest airline travel outfit. No worry, I passed the exam and my missing prostate was not found!~ I did get several supporting smiles from my fellow male and female travelers as they avoided my ordeal and happily walked on to their flights.

Mission accomplished, I was allowed to retrieve my belongings and go sit down to put myself back together again. On go the shoes (cute black patent lace up booty type heels), on went my belt (matching black patent belt with a diamond buckle), on went my short black one button blazer, and finally out came my jewelry that I left off before leaving the house to avoid yet another reason to fail that first walk though detector alarm. While I was sitting there rebuilding my outer image a nice lady who was doing the same made the nicest compliments to me about my outfit and great shoes. That alone made all the rest worth the effort of just sitting there at that moment and being me (actually the better half of me).

From there it was on to the gate to wait to board the plane. Since it was Southwest flight it was the first come - first gets the best seat system for finding your temporary roosting location on the plane, I ended up sitting between and chatting briefly with a man and woman for my 1 1/2 hour uneventful flight to Vegas. Retrieved my luggage, found (after a few too many mistaken steps in the wrong direction) my and paid for my shuttle ride to my hotel and finally arrived at my home away from home for the next 2 days, Bally's (cheap $39/night) hotel casino centrally right across the street from the Bellagio and their famous computer controlled jet fountain, diagonally across from Caesar's Palace and right next to the Paris hotel and casino where Cissy my partner in crime was located (actually she very kindly decided to move to be next to my hotel so we could be neighbors).

I got to my room and unpacked and realized that I had brought one too many outfits, since it was now around 4:00 PM and I was going to be meeting Cissy a bit later to start our first night out. Therefore, no chance for me to use Outfit No. 2 - Walk Around Before Meeting Cissy. As Cissy wrote we met and had our "Welcome To Vegas" wine in her room before heading out to a most enjoyable evening. One interesting occurrence happened when we were first seated at the show. I noticed that the room was not full at all. After Cissy mentioned how she would sneak from the cheap seats to the closer up seats at baseball games when she was younger, I went up to the usher with a $5.00 bill in my palm and asked if we could sit in a closer seat. It worked and off we went to seats that were 3 rows back from the exclusive VIP tables at the base of the stage. Oh, and yes the show was an excellently arranged and performed "old Vegas" style girly show, VA VA Voom too!

Enough for now. I am starting to write more than TxKimberley. I will finish "my" details of "It Stays In Vegas" in Part 2.

I didn't know you tipped the user $5.00, I though he moved us up because we were so cute!

....It Stays in Vegas - The Details - Part 2

Well, now onto my second and first full day in Vegas. I tried to sleep from the late night out, but, of course, it didn't happen. So, I got up and prepared to enjoy the day walking around while Cissy was attending to her business meetings. Someone has to work for a living, don't they? I dressed casually (for me) in a flowing skirt, top, light short jacket and those most important comfortable Mary Jane flats. My el cheapo hotel room had a separate sitting area with good lighting and mirrors perfect for finalizing my makeup. I did get my money's worth out of this room.

My first target was to cross over the elevated walkways between some of the casinos and visit the Bellagio casino and shop areas. Walking through the Bally's casino floor I could see the late players and the early risers playing on the slot machines. Out the door into the shade and the first thing I noticed was that Vegas is not as warm as I thought that it would be. Once in the direct sun I warmed up immediately and continued my short trek over to the Bellagio. It is an upscale casino and hotel and only had the high end stores where shoes start at $395 and go through the roof from there. It was a nice but short stroll through the shop area into the casino itself. It was apparent that at that hour in the morning (10:30ish) the well-to-do are still in bed. The casino was empty. So, I did a little foot rubbing repair (transpor tape in the right places on my feet) and I was ready for the longer walk over to Caesar's Palace. There really are very few "short" walks along the Vegas strip where most casinos are very long double blocks away.

It was a nice stroll over to Caesar's to enjoy these mega installations during the sunny day. I have been to their Forum Shops before and it is like a mid-sized enclosed mall inside all with a Roman Architectural theme. They have a complete range for stores from some of the best down to a very few inexpensive jewelry shops. Their casino had a lot more morning gamblers than the Bellagio and I had to walk through it all to get to the entrance to the shops. I had a great time window shopping and going into some of the higher end stores. In DKNY I walked to their small sales rack hidden in the back. Since I was one of their first customers and the only one in the shop at that time,I got immediate attention. I picked out a few sales skirts (marked down from $285 to only $150) and continued looking while the cute SA set up a room for me. By the time I was done I had tried on 4 skirts, 3 tops and a couple of blazers, one a "boyfriend" style blazer that was longer than any on my suit and sport coats. It was fun and I did particularly like one skirt, but decided that I could buy a lot of thrift store and Macy's sale clothes for the price of one skirt. So on to the next stores. I tried on some killer knee high flat soled boots, some jackets and tops in other stores. By the time I reached the end of the mall it was time to head back to my hotel to meet up with Cissy.

I met with Cissy for our Margaritas and tacos lunch and then we headed out to walk around some more. Cissy insisted that we head for the newly opened City Center complex which was "just" down the strip a bit, only "just" a short walk away. Well, Cissy runs her two miles every day en femme while out on business while I drive my 1 1/2 miles everyday to my local coffee shop for my morning java and conversation fix for the day. Thus, of course, Cissy is "just" a wee bit more in better shape than I am. I was hesitant at first to make that short walk, but Cissy was definitely right. It was well worth the effort. The complex has a very modern architectural theme and is made up of buildings for a Mandarin Hotel, art galleries, time share apartments, stores, a very upscale intimate shopping mall and a non-traditional sophisticated casino. Everything was just stunning and looked like it belonged just where it was. We window shopped some and walked through the casino. It was awesome.

Oh on the way there we ran into one of the street performers that you see every once in awhile. Most are dressed in popular movie theme characters. I ran into my super hero and had my pic taken with him. Not to be outdone with the street character, I also had Cissy take my pic with my real hero (his bronze bust), Elvis who was located in the Center's casino. With the City Center behind us, we headed back to our hotel with Cissy taking me on a detour into the Planet Hollywood shopping mall where Cissy had her cappuccino and I had my double espresso planning on staying awake as long as possible into the night and hopefully wee hours on Friday. Did I tell you that I think that the casinos make a lot of money from the gamblers who don't gamble but do like to shop?

I finally reached my room all walked out. A hot shower and re-makeover and I was ready for the evening activities. I met Cissy and went to her room to make a quick outfit adjustment (taping my sore feet where I was sure to develop blisters). After a few before pics of our night out outfits we were off to the restaurant. I really do not know how to describe how comfortable we both felt as we sat there at our table eating a wonderful meal watching the night show from the Bellagio water fountains. It really was the highlight of my trip. The night club was very trendy, loud and packed with good looking people, including us. We stayed for awhile and left to have a drink at a casino bar where we could actually hear each other talk.

After another late night out (2:30 for me) I tried to get some sleep. But as usual and according to Murphy's law, that was not meant to be. So, I got up early finished packing, took my shower and prepared Allie for her trip back to the San Francisco Bay area. Since I had already prepaid my return bus shuttle to the airport I had to catch a shuttle based on their timetable not mine. While sitting outside the hotel entrance waiting for my ride, Cissy came down to wish me well on my trip home. What a lady she is. I think that I probably would have been sleeping like a baby after two late night outs like we had. But no, Cissy made that special effort to properly see me off. That probably is why she is a lady and I am just a girl.

The return flight security check in process was simplified this time because I did not use the steel boned waist cincher. I passed through with flying colors, except for the newer TSA ID check person who did not know how to handle the fact that I did not look like my photo ID. She called a more experienced TSA agent to help her and he passed me through with no further questions. What was nice about this part is that this second young agent continued to talk with me about where I was in the Trans process and how was it going. As my friends know it does not take much to get me talking so this was a very welcomed opportunity to talk openly and honestly with a truly interested person. It was even more significant to me because it was one of those much maligned TSA agents who was showing personal interest in me and transgendered issues.

From there it was off to the gate to wait for my plane. I tried again to use my new laptop and just couldn't connect to the free Wi-Fi at the airport. I looked for someone using their laptop and went over and sat next to him. I then explained my predicament. He begged off helping me because he said he knew nothing about how computers worked, just how to use them for work. So, he immediately passed me off to Bob who is his techie in reserve and his traveling mate to solve my issue. Bob just came right over and sat next to me as we both tried to get the connection to work. It was just another moment of being Allie and interfacing with complete strangers as I would do in male mode. We both failed again to make the connection, so I put everything away and waited for the plane. On the plane I sat next to two women this time and carried on an ongoing conversation with one of them who probably lives just a few miles from me. We landed, I got my luggage and rode back to my car in a shuttle bus. The female driver remembered me from trip to the airport. That was nice.

Home at last and I am still in awe that I flew round trip en femme for the first time, spent 2 nights in a hotel in Las Vegas, had the wonderful luck to have the perfect traveling companion in Cissy to walk, sight see, dine, drink and talk with, and I only lost $39.00 gambling.

Now, isn't life just so grand?

Here are a few pics from a once picture shy girl. Enjoy.

Ladies it sounds like you had fantabulous time in Vegas. I cannot wait to get there and walk the strip en-femme... so looking forward to doing that!

Allie, I absolutely adore the short skirt and white blouse outfit. Fits you perfectly, and looks amazing!
I wish I had curves like that. my skinny white behind can't fill a skirt like that!

Congrats on traveling en femme! I don't think I will ever get to that point, or even if I want to, actually.

    HUGS,
    Sheri

That certainly sounds like a great vacation for the two of you. I am glad that the airport went well and I am guessing your attitude had a lot to do with it. I love your pics; you look super!

Reading Allie's account brings back wonderful memories...we've come a long way from our days as lonely crossdressers and I have this forum to thank for that. One of the fun things about Vegas is spending the day as a touristo in a tunic, leggings and ballet flats, then getting all dolled up for a hot night out on the town, it truly is an adult Disneyland and we were part of the entertainment!

Sheri, thank you so much for your compliment. I try to avoid being to vain and arrogant, but I can only tell you that I felt so wonderful and hot in that outfit. It has been hanging together in my closet for at least 6 months waiting for that special moment to make its debut. Cissy's invitation to join her in Vegas made it all possible. Now as to that fine figure, which I admit does look fine, it is just that, a look. My undergarments make it all happen because my non-existent butt and hips sure don't. Fortunately I am somewhat petite, small boned and the skinny legs (a perfect match for my real butt and hips) help too.

Regarding flying en femme: Since I do go out in the real world to real world venues a lot, the flying en femme was just a natural progression of Allie's development. I was not afraid to get on a plane and sit next to complete strangers for the flight. I actually looked forward to that part of the trip. My only concern really was the security check point and avoiding a specific situation where I would be required to remove a breast forms and worse yet one or all of my silicone hip and butt pads for inspection. The rest of the security check process was actually fun for me, including the pat down.

Now, since I had so much fun on this trip here are some more pics:

What a wonderful time and wonderful posts, Cissy and Allie!

U BOTH look SO PRETTY, too!

One other warning about flying with silicone:

on both my trips to and from Atlanta for the past 2 SCCs, I've packed all my silicone in my checked bag to avoid any TSA problems!
Both times, my bag was ransacked by unseen inspectors! A pair of gloves were damaged, and LOTS of clothing was BADLY creased!

Cissy, I think I can relate to how u felt at the craps table! At the last SCC, they had a casino nite! Sherry and a "girlfriend" came close to breaking the House at our Blackjack table! We were rite in front of the stage, too. I think I spent just as much time standing and swaying with the singers, as I did sitting and gambling!
DEFINITELY the hilite of the trip for ME!

U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

I have the blues today, unusual for me: maybe it's being back at work on a Monday, but I find myself daydreaming about what it was like to be the center of attention at a crowded craps table, throwing the dice in a little black dress...I wanna be that girl again!

Sherry, I had a similar experience when I came back from Vegas. I got home and found that little TSA notice inside my checked luggage that it had been searched by the TSA. Everything looked fine to me and I had nothing to hide anyway. It was all women's clothing except for my trusty male reserve outfit! I wore my silicone breast forms and butt and hip pads. For whatever reason, my luggage and sometimes even my golf club travel case gets searched quite frequently. For a while my name was on the TSA watch list. At that time, because Southwest did not have the pre-check in procedure that they have now I always had to go to the front desk to check in on the outgoing flight. Now I am fine traveling with them.

Yeah Cissy, I know what you mean. This week is starting out in drab mode and is not so much fun as last week.
