Until I get of the car and among the public, I'd say 2.5. Afterwards, I'm closer to Karren's 6.

I guess I would really have to say a #2 when walking out the door, but after I drive so far down the street it turns into a #4 because I've got a mission and there isn't anything I can do about it (except turn around and go home - which isn't gonna happen) so I might as well enjoy it.

I have only been out a few times. I feel like a 1 or 2, depending on the situation. Even though it is nerve-racking for me, I haven't had any negative experiences and have enjoyed myself. I hope I can get into the 2-3 range next week, when I plan to spend some time dressed in New Orleans with my wife. I expect to be most nervous when riding the hotel elevator, shoulder-to-shoulder with other hotel guests. I think drinking a glass or two of wine will help calm me down. Hopefully things will go well and my confidence will be higher in the future. But I worry that an 'incident' will occur and I will go right back to level 1. Wish me luck!
I'd say I'm a 3 with modification: I don't think like...Gee am I passing or what or what? It's more like 'I don't care' but only in the sense of...like I don't NEED to impress some stranger or be accepted or come off looking triple-A approved & certified all American woman. Ya know? But just as a matter of course I AM aware of tudes +/- plus or minus - and if minus I become even More myself, More laid back relaxed & sociable - as a kind of challenge or 'game' of sorts - just to see if I can win her over (even seduce her?) or at least calm her down. I say 'her' cuz I dont giva fc what any guy thinks (not intrestd in men - ew!).

I have completely accepted myself for who I am and I'm proud of it. I'm not pretending to be a woman and, as a result, I never worry about being read. I'm just a guy who likes to wear woman's clothes and be as pretty as I can with what I have to work with. Hugs, Becky

Definitely #5 for me. So what if they read me? The only person who's in an awkward situation is the person I'm interacting with. 'Sides, it's their fault for reading into me too much
I really stress in my car, thinking about entering the mall or the store where I wish to shop but once I enter the door I suddenly relax and do what I intended to do. I realize that I probably don't pass but 70%, no 80%, no 90% of the people I encounter don't take the time to glance in my direction, they are too into their own business to really care who I am or what I am wearing. #4.
On any given outing, I range from 1, to 6! One time, at a store, I purposely let everyone nearby, know i was a cd, and laughed about it all! Got a few smiles from a few, and puzzled looks by a few men! Any time i go out, i start out in 1, 0r 2, then slide to 3, 4,5, and 6. When a cop pulled me over, on my second time out ever, I was at 1 or 2, for a few hours.

Now that I have been going out often I just do not care anymore. I get out of my car, check in the mirror and say to myself..."Well that is the best we can do". I rely on the fact that I haven't had any problems so far. Have even gone to Denny's and not been hassled.
