I find it really helps putting my underwear on first.....
My full dressing usually starts with some foundation shapewear, either big industrial-strength knickers or a one-piece to give me a semblance of a curvy hourglass figure (usually with very limited success). Then it's bra (if I'm not in a one-piece) followed by falsies, then tights if I'm wearing a skirt. Next is makeup (there's something delicious about being all trussed up when you're applying your war paint) then my main outfit followed by wig and accessories

Panties or a thong first which I wear 24/7 and then a matching bra with forms, the bra and forms really completes the underwear and I definately feel more feminine with the bra on , it takes it to a higher level.

Well I wear panties every day now but when I put on a bra, it starts. Then I feel complete and my body and demeanor start to change. Then the other things like hose and makeup next then the dress or top and skirt then the cherry on top is my wig, shoes and any jewelry. That's my order.

It depends a bit on the circumstances but there's a reason why bras and girdles are called foundation garments. On a very few, rare occasions, when I have been on my own overnight at home, I have been able to do things exactly as my wife always did. Going to bed at night, the last items to be taken off were the bra, then the nightdress went on and finally stockings were unfastened and the girdle removed. To wake up in the morning and see, draped over the bedroom chair, a slip with bra and stockings laid over it and then the girdle, looking rather stiff. lying on the chair seat was a lovely experience...and then to see my wife putting them on in reverse order (except for fresh stockings) was a very good start to the day. So, when I'm on my own, I do the same, but now the clothes on the chair are my clothes. Because it's still only a rare thrill for me, I feel excited at seeing my girdle and bra waiting for me but I can understand, especially if the girdle has to be firm and the bra strong, that women who performed this ritual every morning might have seen it differently.
Anyway, to answer the question, in those home-alone circumstances I get out of bed and put on my girdle. These days it has to be a firm, high-waisted one. I then sit on the bed and put on my stockings, stand up and pull up some panties before taking off my nightdress. Next comes the bra - which needs to be a long-line one if I am going to wear anything that needs to fit into the waist. At that point, in the words used by an earlier contributor, I am "trussed up" and ready to select a skirt and top or dress. Almost always I'll put on a slip (long or short) first.

Makeup (absent lipstick) is always first, and I always begin with fake eyelashes. If makeup doesn't count, the first clothing I put on is pantyhose.
The very last thing to go on is lipstick.
I were allot of pants, so panties come first....... it would look weird if they were last.
