What Was Your First Favorite Outfit?

I normally do not buy dresses but for our trip to Vegas my SO bought us each a new dress from Home Shopping, a L for Nancie and a M for herself, mine in purple and hers in blue. Well, mine was to big and hers fit Nancie better than it fit her. After trying it on I feel in love with it. Fits nice and my SO tells me it looks hot. Well, we got back this Tuesday and had to go to the VA in Madison on Thursday and of course you can not go to the big city without doing a little shopping. Pennys has these amazing sweater dresses and my SO was checking them out and I guess I was too, and yes I did buy one. It's gray with pockets and had to wait until we got home to try it on. It has to be a tie now, blue or gray, boots or heels. choices is what it must be about. I love it.

My first favorite outfit was the one I'm wearing in my avatar and profile pictures, which I put together for Halloween the first time I went out public. It combined a blue silk skirt and matching blue stretch belt with a sheer white blouse. I finished it off with clear acrylic heels, my best sparkly necklace and of course my favorite hairdo.

I still smile when I think about how wonderful it felt going out feeling beautiful. That day I had gone to the salon to have my hair done. They also did my makeup and waxing. Then I ducked into the back room to change and I came out in that outfit--the ladies were very complimentary. You might not be able to tell in my pictures, but the material of the blouse is quite sheer, as was my bra. So with the anatomically-correct silicone forms in place, the effect was that although the outfit looked elegant, it was also very revealing so I had to wear a wrap for modesty's sake. The girls at the salon also commented on that too!

My first favorite outfit was a pair of very short Khaki Shorts...you know the kind worn in the old NAIR Commericals..."Who wears Short Shorts..? We wear Short Shorts."

Anyway, enough of the product endorsements....I also had this very cute red spaghetti strapped tank and a pair of Espidrill Wedges....what I loved so much about this otherwise summery out fit was how good and long my legs looked...this was a big issue to me back at the age of fifeteen because as a guy I have always been considered short...but at 5'8" as a girl I am considered to be rather tall...these short shorts and the wedges just elongated my legs so much that I would wear them every chance I had even on the coldest days....

A purple, long-sleeved, knee-length dress with a pleated skirt that my mom inherited from her late aunt. It was too big for my mother but fit me perfectly, and I wore it off and on for years, usually with pantyhose and black pumps. This would have been in the late '70s - early '80s.

Favourite outfit? That is a really tough question but probably my first favourite outfit would be the first "full" outfit I had due to the significance of it. Pretty simple though, jeans, 4 inch black heels and a hot pink summery top!

It's vintage, I'd say probably from the late 1970s. I love old classic clothing!
