    Considering a name change

I am considering changing my female name, I am looking for a first name that starts with "R" and a middle name that starts with "B". The reason that I am considering changing my name is to make it easier for when and if I do start to transition. Any recommendations or comments would be greatly appreciated.

How about Rachel, Renee, Rebecca or Roxanne?

Those are great names, just need a good middle name to go with them.

I find thinkbabynames.com to be quite good for name resources, especially if you are interested in name meanings.

    List of "R" names

    List of "B" names

Both lists also have the meanings, the origins, and the variations of each name.

If you are looking for a name that is masculine but will also work well as female, there are a number of R names. Rae, (used by my male friend, and by the daughter of a second friend) Rio. Rider, Riley, Robin, Rickey, Ronnie, and Rusty are pretty commonly used for both boys and girls. Fewer B names spring to my mind, except for Bailee, or Baylee, but middle names are often taken from sir names in the family history, such as Baker, Browne, Barton, Brewer, Brett, Boxer, Baxter, etc. and have no male or female connotation.

Thank you everyone for the great advice. I was thinking that since my male name initials are "RBM" that I should go with a name that would give me the same initials to make it easier with licensing and other parts of life. I would use a derivative of my first name, but the only one that I can think of is Roberta( and I am not real fond of that name).

Would or could Robbie work? I know a GG that has Robbie for her first name. You always can change the spelling of names to make them more feminine, or at least look that way when written, even tho they would sound the same when spoken.

I recommend taking your birth year and about 10 years before, and looking up the top names here http://www.babycenter.com/popularBab....htm?year=1970
I just used 1970 as a random year.
