    Smile Alternate Clothes While Driving?

Does anyone else carry guy-mode "backup clothes" (like sweatpants, socks, etc) while driving, just in case you get a flat tire or have some other major car trouble? I thought about that one night and realized that in my current outfit (tight jean skirt, very nice blouse, etc) that it would really be a mess to try to change a tire on a car. Doubtless I could probably do it, but I think I'd wreck everything I was wearing, since when I have to do that in guy mode, I wreck everything I'm wearing.

Your chances of having a flat tire:

    1. Are inversely proportional to the amount of air in your spare
    2. Are directly proportional to the amount of luggage in your trunk
    3. Rises to the cubed power with instantaneous rainfall
    4. Are dead solid certain if you're wearing white clothing!

I used to carry an "emergency bag" but now only carry it if I am going a long distance by myself. Getting all that makeup and nail polish off would be a major hassle with baby wipes and no running water. I pretty much rely on the concept of WWAGGD? Yep, AAA card and cell phone.

Yes, out of habit I have a backup pair of male slacks, shirt, shoes and socks, and I go out all the time.

I don't believe that I've carried male cloths as a backup when I was driving, I don't drive any more.

I only go out under dressed; about the only thing would be if I am wearing a bra,
and would it be noticed upon close inspection.

Heck no Hon. When I go out en femme, I go all the way. I would rely on AAA as was mentioned or some heroic nice guy to come to my rescue being the damsel in distress. It's been mentioned on here by various gals that that is exactly what happened. There are true Knights still out there even without the armor.

I can't help but giggle at this for many reasons, but one of them is that I used to fight heavy weapons in the SCA...

I have never carried a bag or emeg. kit. One cannot remove gel nails or gel polish without a dremmel tool.(lol) I think thats what AAA membership is for, besides i always carry my cell phone. If by chance anything else happens accident or medical trip to hospital i'll pull my big girl panties up and deal with it like my wife always says.

I've never carried a "guy mode" bag. As someone once told me, that's what Roadside Assistance is for...

Have been out only three times. No man bag for backup. If i go out as a woman, i assume all actions and happenstances as a woman, and will have to deal with them as a woman. good or bad.

Kudos to not hiding out in boy mode when things get tough, but WTGGWD is Whatever she can do by herself. I only call AMA (our version) if it's something I can't fix myself (admittedly pretty much everything, because I am not mechanical!) I second the coveralls AND add a tarp.

Well, my tongue was firmly in cheek with that one. If the car is dead, AAA/AMA is the viable option in either mode. If it's just a flat tire I wouldn't waste time waiting for the tow truck to arrive. I can change a tire just fine in a skirt, thankyouverymuch, and I wouldn't want to let a little thing like that cut into my time being out and about!

This has made me think a bit about things, though, and a pair of disposable nitrile gloves will be going into the car to keep my hands clean if I do have to change out a tire!

Well I have never been out dressed, but I have often thought about driving the 7.5 Tonne truck I drive en femme, now that would be interesting!

I am very much like Kim! I have been driving while dressed enfemme for longer than some of you have been alive! Never once have I ever carried drab clothes to change into in the event of a car problem. I wear gloves when I change a tire and don't even get my hands dirty!! Of course at the age I am now, I don't change a tire. I just call AAA and let them do it!

I carried a bag with his clothes when I first began going out, but I gave that up.
The car has a pair of overalls in it, so if something happened like a flat I could just slip into that and change it.
If I was in the rain, snow, etc, then I'll just call AAA and sit and wait.
    I don't wear women's clothes, I wear MY clothes !

I do have a bag of guy clothes usually when out enfemme. It just lets me feel a little more confortable.
Generally, when wearing dress clothes whether enfemme or drab I have coveralls, boots, and gloves.

Let me put it this way:
If I'm going out local, there's no need for an emergency bag.
If I'm dressed casual, then this is the real me, and I don't feel like hiding this aspect of me anymore.
But if/or when I'm dolled up in a nice outfit, such as a cocktail dress & heels, I'll pack some extra clothes like jeans & sneakers if the place is far away.

Yes, I frequently have some backup guy clothes in my car. There have been occasions when they came in handy.

I always have a gym bag with old jeans and T-shirt with me. Not because I am in enfemme; even in male mode I keep old clothes with me. I don't want to change a tire in a suit.
