Others closer to where you live might be able to inform you of larger events. There is also a Meeting Place forum that helps CDers find each other. Try a post there and see what happens!

Well there are events several times a week in Dallas. Red rover, red rover, let Vanessa come over

Renaissance TG Org. and Tri-ess have monthly meetings through the country to name a few. Do a search on TG Orgs. and see what comes up.

You didn't say at what level. In your local area, there can be groups like Tri-Ess, meet-up groups, and other TG groups. You may have to search the internet for these unless someone pops in with some local suggestions.
At the national level, there are a lot of fun events. They can vary from conferences like SCC and Be-All to coordinated vacations like Diva Las Vegas and Pinkfest. Watch the subforum here called "Upcoming Events" to see these announced.
