Situation: What happens when you run into someone you know at Dressing Service

I'm interested in a dressing service, but very anxious about running into someone I know there. I know the odds are really small, but the "what if" situation is killing me. I suppose it would be a "secret is safe" for both of us scenario, but not sure what I would say, or what the other person were to say to me if I did something like that. Anyone have any experiences like this?

Don't over think it, if it happens you have a new girl friend to shop with.
I wouldn't give another thought and go do it.

If you do, they will be just as nervous as you are about it, and you will both have found a common interest that may actually lead to a closer relationship. At worst, you'll both be doubly determined to keep anyone else from finding out it happened.

In practice, I think the probability of this happening is less than getting hit by lightning in the parking lot of the place.

If you do run into someone that you know at the dressing service then you've likely found your new best friend!

I am so glad that I have friends who dress. Many people are understanding and emphathetic toward CDers, but another CDer is pretty sure to truly understand the way we tick.

So, I'd put the anxiety behind you and enjoy your experience. We cause ourselves too much unwarranted pain with our fears and worries.

Then they are there for the same reason you are...sounds great to me.
Besides, what will they do?? Run to friends and family and say "Guess who I met at the crossdressing makeover I had!!" ????

If they're there in the first place they're there for the same reason you are I would reckon, therefore as has been said before think nothing of it and enjoy a new level of friendship.

Seems to me that you'd both be there for the same reason. So, just laugh it off and acknowledge a common interest.

I was not at a dressing service, but I was wig shopping down town Daytona Beach, there was a guy trying on a nice wig, to make a long story short , he was at first embarrassed but I started a conservation with him and we became friends, he turned out to be a great person to go out with.

I have to agree with others on gaining a friend. CDing can be a somewhat lonely experience. Gee, I have to visit the MAC store sometimes for engaging interaction!! BTW it does work but can be a bit expensive.

I was at the Casino in Sydney last week and on a friendly fun table. One of the guys on the table saw me the next night at the casino while I was having dinner and part of the conversation was a comment like he admired my guts going dressed. I wondered at the time whether he was a crossdresser (he'd look good as a female).

Kicked myself after he left for not inviting him to sit down for a chat. It would be terrific to have a friend who is a kindred spirit.

That's the positive ... the negative is that you won't meet anyone you know.

The odds of it happening are extremely low.
If it did, you probably just made a new friend or, at worse, learned something new about that person and revealed something to someone who understands, but has incentives not to freely share it with others.
If you never did anything that had some risk involved, you would never leave corner of the house you are huddled in and be a mental basket case. Life is full of risks so don't let the miniscule ones stop you from living yours.

I'm guessing I would say something to the effect of" Hi, how's it going? How's the family?"
