    Are you ashamed or proud?

Of the time you spend here at this Forum? It's been noted that some people spend an awful lot of time here.

Of course Logic would dictate that some people have a lot more available time on their hands than others. People that might work from home. Or are retired. Or have one of "those" jobs that allow them plenty of time while "at work" by the very nature of the job.

How many people post here while at work? Would you be in hot water with the boss for being on the Internet on his or her dime? [regardless of the site]

I have seen people at many Forums claim they do not watch TV at all. I guess it's certainly possible but I think it more likely that they do not watch very much TV.

That would be me, I guess: http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/...=1#post3030204

Just to be clear, I was not implying that being here was shameful. My SO is dualgender and I support her unconditionally. I was pointing out that you can't reduce the definition of CDing to whether men wear panties or not, since the time and energy devoted to this often takes place in the mind (and typing on a keyboard ), and that men who are not interested in cross-gender expression do not hang out in forums like these.

Why did my comment cause you to justify reasons for members who choose to participate here? Are you saying that if someone is not interested in cross-gender expression and they are bored with what's on TV or they otherwise have time on their hands, they'll go online and participate in CDer forums?

    Neither ashamed or proud.
I would like to think that I have been able to help someone, provide a little gladness in their life and socially interact with others here.
I find interest in other peoples life problems, grief, happiness and elation as demonstrated by first timers.
Those that are transitioning have an interesting bent as well, there is a been there done that and lets get on with the future.
When I am communicating with some of these people I have to put my mind in another gear.
Others have very strong views about "anything imaginable" and to tune in to these people and communicate requires a different strategy again.
Proud or ashamed..... Neither, just very interested and caring. It definitely broadens the mind. "I think."
    Work on your elegance,
    and beauty will follow.

I know a lot of folks post here on their cell phones. Would people do that at home or just at work? Seems like a standard keyboard would be a lot easier. I do have a young niece though who can text faster than most can type.

I am neither ashamed or proud. I just am. Hopefully, I can help someone who is caught up in this nightmare we call life. Who cares how much time I spend here. My work is always done to perfection. I never miss a deadline. Anyone, from the newest employee to the oldest can get online at my company and look at what they like. All I ask is that you complete your job on time and correctly.

Why should I be ashamed? Why should I be proud? I simply come here to get and give advice. I do post at work sometimes from my phone. And the TV is almost always on in my home.
I know enough to know I don't know enough.

    Peace

I am very proud to be a member of this forum. All the moderators, GG's and other sisters here make up a great sorority of people to share there wisdom, support, opinions and viewpoints. I for one must applaude them for there dedication and understanding of issues that for society at large is lets say unusual. As well as acceptance and support there is a lot of caring and sharing of information and solving of problems that in my mind make us better CD's and yes ladies as well.

It has been almost two years that I have had the good fortune to have found this wonderful forum and I have blossomed from reading the majority of posts here and I thank all my sisters for there help and insight. I probably do not participate as much as I could but that is do to many other responsibilities, travel schedules and just my life in general. I will do my best to remedy that in the near future.

All the woman here are unique and beautiful in there own way. And BTW I am the Boss and being a lifetime CD has contributed in making me a very good one if I do say so myself.

I don't read or post at work (unless I am in a very boring meeting). I come here to learn and growing. I enjoy following the posts of many here. (yes i watch tv but I always do something else on my computer when I do)

I'm not ashamed of anything relating to my being a cd.
I used to be until I accepted myself for who and what I am. Since then I'm proud of myself and all that I do.

You are absolutely right, there are some who apparently believe they should fill up the spaces with empty comments and build their post while others, who I am sure are the proud ones that make very adequate suggestions and are decidedly free of shame.

I've been spending too much time on the internet altogether. I like this forum because it's very active. Some of the content isn't of much interest to me personally. I'm not proud of being a CD, but I accept it along with other habits and behaviors I have acquired throughout my life.

I do try to restrain myself in the amount of time I spend at this site...but that's not a reflection on cd.com, but rather an attempt to manage my time wisely.

I spent the morning on this site because I am multi-tasking. I bounce back and forth between this site and another. I am retired so I have a lot of time to peruse the internet. This morning I will be checking out retail sites because it is cyber Monday. When I was still working management did not care if employees on break or lunch perused non objectionable sites. Management figured any computer usage assisted in gaining knowledge. I did a lot of bidding on eBay because I did not have a computer at home at the time. Sometimes I wonder if IT saw I what I was bidding and buying. I know State of Washington employees are forbidden to the computer for personal use.

I wouldn't be ashamed to use the employers computer for accessing this site, but, I would not want it to become disruptive to the work place. The office was always buzzing with the latest entanglements, divorces, etc. I would not want to be the talk of the break room. So, I left this site at home.

I'm not sure if you are asking if I'm ashamed that I'm a CD or that I spend time here. However, the answer to both is that I'm not ashamed in the least of either. There was a time I was ashamed of being a CD, but no longer. It is who I am. As to the question regarding would I be in hot water at work, I'm the boss, so the answer is no.

First: If you are using a public or your employer's computer to visit this site, be aware that your use may be monitored. I'm not saying that it is being monitored, just that it might be monitored. When I was working, I was in computers and I could monitor other computers on the network. I could see the screens and even take control of the computer remotely.

That said, I am retired so I spend time on this and other (non CD related) forums. More time than I should? Possibly. I have learned a lot here and while I still have much to learn, I try to give back to others as much as possible.

You know, I have all of the tracking softwear and can spy on my employees movements on the internet. I have found something interesting. At first, they tend to go to the porn sites and such. After a little while, they stop when they have had their fill and it is no big deal any longer. I say do what makes your day complete as long as company business is taken care of. I haven't felt the need to spy in a long time now.

[SIZE="2"]Neither – I’m a SHROUD! Well, you can’t actually see me, can you?

I don’t spend a lot of time AT the forum, but I spend a decent amount of time writing – it’s time-consuming, shamefully fun and somewhat naughty, if you must know the truth. As for feeling proud, that is a male conceit that I do not acknowledge under any circumstance (and I'm prideful about that)...

    Humbly yours, Freddy

not really something I'd hold up as a matter of shame or pride. I work from home, so one laptop for work, the other for what amounts to "smoke breaks" that my office'd colleagues periodically indulge in. It's become a sort of virtual water cooler for me, but populated with people I can relate a lot more deeply with :-)

Also I think I spend a lot more time here and on other CD/trans/etc related forums lately because my current life situation has precluded me from having any sort of girly "me time" for about 6 months, and it looks like it might be another 3 before that realistically can happen for me again. I think I just enjoy reading (and talking) about all the adventures my forum-sistas can have, because I'm not presently able to share them. Living vicariously I suppose, LOL.

"Supervise" would be a better word than "spy". I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing. Whoever owns the computer, network, and pays for the Intenet connection has a right to determine what it is used for.

I just want people to be aware that it can happen.
