In the fall my wife and I go to Reading, PA to shop at the outlets. For Christmas, she wanted to get her mother a couple matching bra and panity sets, so helped her pick them out. When she opened them, she said she had never had matching sets before, and thanked my wife. But my wife said "Oh you should thank Stephen- he picked them out". She looked at me funny as my father-in-law would never get her a personal gift. In fact I think he has never actually bought a gift for her, he usually gives money to my wife and has her go buy gifts from him.
Well, the next weekend, new years, my mother-in-law was at our house and saw my wife doing laundry. She thought she would help out and started folding the clothes. When she found a couple pairs of my jeans she asked my wife "whose are these, you would never wear a size 12?" - my wife wears an 8 and those are sort of big. So my wife told her those were mine. The next day, I was wearing the jeans and she looked me over and said, wow those jeans do fit you pretty well. That was all that was said, but we'll see if this comes up again.
