Amazing enough I have a large frame so my chest without forms is 44 inches. I have to say that I have a softer brow and my eyebrows aren't as bushy. Also my jaw isn't as angular. Things I didn't notice until I started trying make-up.

Agree with the idea that it is harder for anyone to notice the subtle queues outside their own ethnicity unless they are trained to do so.

Also agree that Asian people as a culture are shorter (both male and female) meaning an Asian MtF CD would fit into our western view of a female much easier due to their size alone.

I don't know what you mean by "better". What I know is that many Asian men have more delicate facial features than their Western counterparts, fact that serves them very well when crossdressing. Your pictures are a testimony to that. Lucky them!

This is true.

Another consideration is that if you did not grow up in an area that was predominately Asian, you will not be able to discern subtle differences in faces. This applies to emotions and also to the more subtle facial gender cues. They've done studies on this and they discovered that babies could tell the differences between genders at a very young age (just a few months old), but only among the predominant ethnic group they grew up in and not among ethnicities they were not exposed to frequently.

My point is that notwithstanding average height differences, if you did not grow up in an Asian country the Asian crossdressers may look more feminine to you than they do to Asian men and women. This is because you will be reading only the more obvious gender cues such as clothing, hair, makeup, and breast forms and the subtle gender cues such as the finer points on the face that give clues as to whether someone is male or female, will escape you.

No. These abnormally tall women suffer from Acromegaly that in turn causes Gigantism, which has as one of the many symptoms, a thickening of the features. This is what makes these women look more masculine. See post #19 in your tall girl thread, I posted a link that explains it.

I can't speak for Thailand, but coincidentally, I'm in Japan right now. Last week my SO and I went all over Tokyo. We didn't stop all week and we took the subway/train system everywhere. Tokyo is crowded (13 million people) so I had ample time to scrutinize and study people's faces, both men and women. In my opinion, there are just as many more delicately featured men compared to the overall male population as we have baby-faced men in the West. There are some macho looking Japanese men too, in fact I don't think that most of them could get away with passing as a Japanese woman, not when you compare them to the truly delicate features and small stature of Japanese women. Most of the men that I saw have beard shadow just like Western men. And they are much bigger than Japanese women.

As with anything, it is the most passable that put up their videos on youtube, that have web sites, that work in night clubs, etc, but you're still looking at a few thousand compared to the millions of men who would not be able to pass at all. Also, the beautiful lady-boys are young. Young Western men can get away with a lot more than a middle-aged Western man, just think Justin Bieber and picture him with a wig on.

Its because asian guys tend to be smaller and shorter, they have petite bodies and smaller hands, feet etc.... They also have less hair and have soft delicate features like women.

The average asian guy is about 5'3 -5'6 and weighs 110-145 so that is about the same height and build as the average american woman. Theres a reason why asian crossdressers can shop in the normal womens section and have no problem finding clothes and shoes.

I think the average is at least a couple of inches taller, I'm 5'7" and one of the shortest amongst my group of asian friends. I do have small frame and hands though, so finding UK size 10/12 clothes and size 8 shoes isn't too difficult.

On the other hand, while I'm not very hairy by western standards, I do have deep men's eye sockets and prominent adam's apple. So yes build wise, we might be easier to pass, but I think look wise it's down to individuals.

I agree with you there ReineD. It does seem that here in America when we see all of the Asian lady boys as they call them there, are very young. A lot of them look like 15 to 18 year old girls. Not grown women, but young girls. To me though, most of them look under legal age, for the U.S. I'd like to see some examples of Asians in the 50 plus range. When I was 20 years old, I was mistaken for a girl many times and people guessed my age to be around 15.

I just saw some before and after makeup pics of a young Asian model/actress and the difference was like night in day. The eyes in particular looked very bad before, but looked fantastic after makeup. Think no eyelashes to wow! Oh, and this model is a GG, not TG.

I did some checking on the Internet for average heights based on country. Asian men in general are shorter than European men. The chart I looked at indicates the average height of a male in USA is 5 foot 10. The average Thai is 5 foot 7, Vietnamese 5 foot 4. The average height for a woman in USA is 5 foot 4, Thai 5 foot 2 1/2", Vietnamese 5 foot even. Within the population I think the average native will be able to discern the male from the female. With the USA population the average height differential is six inches. That is a lot of height to lose in the crowd, i.e., impossible. We're comparing USA male height to Asian height within our frame of reference.

Being six foot even I will always stand out in a dress when compared to American woman. A male of Asian average stature and he falls within the range of the average American female. Hence, he will not stand out in our culture/frame of reference.

I always liked being six foot one-two and even now as aging kicks in six foot even with the exception of trying to pass. I have male relatives by marriage who are five foot seven. Now I would prefer being five foot seven so I could blend into the landscape. It would make it a lot easier to find dresses that work.

There are definitely advantages being short and small framed when trying to pass. I guess tall cross dressers need to join Tall Clubs International where membership is restricted to men at least 6 foot 2 and women 5 foot 10!

Well its certainly on average, yes. Compared to others they don't have such "masculinized" features, they have smaller chins, narrower jaws and rounded / oval faces help a lot. As Jennialy mentioned its also a lot more mainstream, and given the bishonen aesthethic north-eastern Asian countries believe in, its far easier to crossdress, define your looks and get better results.

I’m not sure if this is actually true, but the enjoyable depiction of crossdressing in Asia is much appreciated by THIS crossdresser! There seems to be less guilt about such things over yonder, on the other side of the world, or maybe people are just as repressed as we are, but they are allowed to just let their imaginations run wild…

Manny Asians both guys and girls look so plain with out makeup but many asian guys look more convincing as a woman because of there smaller size and plain features make for an excellent blank makeup canvas to draw on more dramatic looks.
