    Another 50/50 tale

We all are looking for acceptance thats a given to most here.
Today I did my usual 50/50 mode with a twist today.
I finally got out my new hot rollers and had a go of it.Never curled my hair with hot rollers so I wasn't sure how it would look.
I viewed some TY vids on the subject and went with it.
Got all the rollers in and let them sit until they cooled down.
I admit to being a novice when it comes to styling my own hair but I was pleased with the out come.I managed to get some nice wavy curls around the bottom and some lift on top.
    On to the tale...........
I was wearing some Candies skinny jeans and a pale blue tshirt with a black cami underneath showing out the bottom of the Tshirt, white canvas sneakers.Medium hoop earrings.
Went and paid some bills did a little shopping at CVS.
Got a few looks at CVS most of them smiles from GG's
Went to eat dinner at a local BBQ place that was packed.
Eating my dinner one of the buss girls (late 30's) was out in the dinning room cleaning up.
She walked past a few times and one time when she passed by she smiled at me and said hi how are you?
I said fine and how are you? she said I'm OK just want to go home I've been on my feet all day.I said almost quitting time then huh? she said yeah and I'm soo ready.
I offered her the chair on the other side of the table and she sat down much to my surprise.
She talked about how busy they had been all day and I just listened.
She said your hair looks really nice thats the main reason I said hi in the first place. She kind of giggled and said that sounds crazy doesn't it?
I said thanks I love compliments so its not crazy to me.
She said well I better get back to work. You look soo cute I just had to say hi, I hope I didn't come off too creepy or anything.
I assured her it was not at all creepy to be chatted up by a beautiful young lady.
Her smile was awesome so I hope I made her day because she made mine.
Its so nice for people to see you and not judge you for being different.

That was probably the first weirdo she ever sat down with. Hey no need to get your backs up y'all. Just kidding here.
Thanks for sharing your story. It's always nice to get compliments. I bet you looked stunning.

    Maybe so Stacy IDK.LOL
Funny thing I did notice there were 8 guys around one table and they couldn't get a peep out of her and they tried.
These guys were the ball cap with their Oakley sunglasses sitting on the bill types and not small by any means also very testosterone filled from what I could tell.LOL
She chose to smile and talk to me not them. so I win!!

    Tracii,
She wanted to look and talk with you because you a great person, and gorgeous also btw. IMO super macho type males are, well lets say that they did not head my list of most admired humans. Yes, forgive moi, for stereotyping.

Congratulations and I can't wait to see some pics in the near future, maybe??:!! Who said life wasn't about competition? You definitely won and I do know that specific feeling about having her to you and not the men in the room who were just drooling to have a word or two with her. Life can be a lot of fun from those little unexpected victories.

    Success Tracii,
You can roll your own hair congratulations.
It is difficult to get right.
Glad you had a good response.
I learned when I had long hair.
    Not terribly good tho'.
Wish I had it now sometimes.

It's possible, she was trying to "rub the boys noses in it" especially if they may have given her a hard time, rude remarks, hitting on her etc. And when you get that many guys together, it's bound to happen, if not likely. Regardless of her motive, she seemed genuine and made you feel good and you were wise enough to accept her hospitality and not be suspicious.

Obviously a win/win situation for everyone.

    Cept the boys.

Nice of you to share your story. Maybe it will help some escape the closet.

Maybe you should become a hairdresser?

Back in the early to late 80's I had hair down to the small of my back cut in layers but I always went to a salon to get it worked on.
They would perm waves in it from the shoulders down.
I wish I had that hair back right now, its a pain to grow it out.I'm just getting to the point I can at least do something with it that is on the girly side.

I did it was awesome LOL
I don't think they get hot enough or they cool down too quick IDK.
My hair is pretty fine and burns using a curling iron on low so I guess its a good thing.
I'll get better at it with more practice.

Kandy by 50/50 I mean I was in guy mode just clothes that would be thought of as womens clothes by most guys. They had to know I was a guy.
No wig or make up just a hint of mascara.
I dress like this all the time

That's a great story, Tracii! How long did it take you to get that comfortable with talking to strangers? Especially 50/50? Have you always been that confident?

I can talk with most anyone and have always have been able to do that.
If that is confidence I guess I have it.
If you are out dressed don't run and hide be out there and 99% of the people won't mess with you.
Act like you have every right to be there because you do!!
