    Hourglass Figure Without Hormones...

This woman slept in a corset to shrink her waist. So maybe that's all some of you need to get that hourglass figure. Just need a little bit of top body and hips in the right proportions, and then tighten up the waist... Anyone try this with a corset? Did you have good result?

I'm lucky now as I found a rare thrift store treasure - a $4 heavy duty tightening corset with several straps to shrink your waist. But sleeping in a tight girdle gave me a stomach ache when I woke up, - the tightening sure hurt my organs!

Maybe this woman slept enduring a lot of pain. See:

Do you think this concept will work for crossdressers?

I recall reading somewhere, perhaps on Google, that unless one starts young enough with a training corset (suggested by all corset manufacturers) and gradually --- organs get scrambled with resulting serious problems just as this woman in the article is having. By gradual
and 24/7 use the organs still adjust positions but less harm is done. Don't go by my recollection but be very careful.

Actually, I have to lose FAT around my belly or waist before I try corset shrinking; no use squeezing fat. I'm 161 lbs today at 5' 4" tall. Ideally I'd like to be 145 lbs size 4 but that takes a lot of maintenance, and I got lazy on doing frequent workouts. So now I rely on a lot of nice bodyshapers to make me look trim and fit in my size 6 outfits / skirt suits.

Kate you don't want to do the corset thing. You will injure yourself. This is an excerpt from the article you posted:

But she shrunk her waist to an extreme; If I can shrink my waist 2.75 inches that would be ok, but right now I have body fat love handles in the way. I checked my waist area and there's also bone in a man's body, so I wonder if a corset would work on a man...

Hmmm, think her internist might want to do an article for JAMA.

To do what you aspire to will take six months at least and slowly tightening your corset your internal organs need to realign themselves and you do not need to choke off any blood or nutrient flow. That is dangerous.
    Work on your elegance,
    and beauty will follow.

I shrink my waist about 4" whenever I wear a corset. However, BEWARE! Do NOT slip on a new corset and tite lace it immediately.

I used to wear one every time I dressed. Which meant 3 or 4 times a month. I haven't been doing that for the last year. And, I'm noticing physical problems wearing a tite laced corset lately!

They say u r supposed to wear your corset often and titen it down a little more each time.
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

You can lace down 3-4" right now whenever you want, without having to wear it 24 hours a day. (The larger one's stomach is, the more one can pull in; I can pull myself in 6" without too much difficulty.)

The woman in the article probably started wearing a corset when she was young and before her bones fused. An adult cannot modify the shape of their ribs once they are fused.

A properly fitted, sensibly laced corset does not cause pain when worn. If one experiences real pain or other serious maladies like the lady in the article is experiencing, they are not corseting themselves safely or sensibly. Corsets can be worn, sensibly, without serious problems (for most people.)

    I love the corset.
I can loose 4-5" when I wear one.
I think they are a must for my figure.
I cannot go more than 5" ... it hurts if I do.
Underbust corsets are the only way for me.

    Hi.

How many women would wont to wear a corset & for what women did in Victoran times & look what it did to them as i said for what because men ...wonted ... women to look unnatural for what oh yea to look sexy .& the health issues that followed no thanks,

& whats wrong with a full figure of a normal looking woman. the pic shown above is dreadfull to say the least. apart from the many health issues she would have incured,

Women have a mind & said they had enough of what men wonted , How strange some men wont to do the same thing today, for dressing up.

& what about later when you get health issues, what then, hmmmm ......

NEVER, but never ever sleep with anything on that may restrict blood flow.
You can do some very serious permanent damage.
If you want a smaller waist, diet: fresh fruits and vegetables, no smoking or alcohol, exercise.
I’m doubly serious: never wear anything that is too tight, and never, ever wear anything to bed that is tight.
    Never.
Also, wash ALL makeup off your face before bed.
