    Talking Christmas surprise

    Mom knows about me CDing and has seen me dressed, and while she is supportive she has never encouraged or enabled, until today. After the family dispersed and before I left she told me she had one more thing for me and went to the spare bedroom and came back with a wrapped gift. Inside was a cute dress, a nice pair of Black Hills Gold earrings, a huge aluminum cosmetics case and a $75.00 ULTA Beauty (http://www.ulta.com/) gift card and a note telling me she is going to try to interact with me on a more feminine level. I was stunned a speechless to say the least

    Yeah, but I'm still trying to make sense of it in my head. For what ever messed up reason I am more nervous after this then when I first came out to her. I don't know why I feel this way, I should be ecstatic.

    Wow, that's great she did that, congrats!

    I don't know.. I think Sometimes with all the hiding aspects of this, we can build up an extra wariness, and start to see troubles where there aren't. I'm with Maria on this one...enjoy it! Sounds like a real good step.

    Lovely story and the way your mom handled it was wonderful. I think your excitement has to do with taking an irrevocable step in your life and being unsure what the future might bring. Well, you're in it now, might as well own it!

    Sure your nervous, you have just started a new relationship with your mother, things will be different, she is starting to see you for who you really are, and she wants you to know she's OK with it.
    I hope you cherish your mother, it must have been a big step for her, after all there is a thing between a boy and his mother, and she is willing to put that aside and look at you as a daughter, even if it's part time.
    If I was you, I would be planning a heck of a blow out for a little lady come Mothers day!

    After searching my lingerie drawers, I have come to the conclusion that they lied. Ruffles don't have ridges. At least mine don't.
