I wouldn't give up. most members here can say that any attempts to give it up aren't successful as it always comes back I have probably given it up a good 5 times...I don't fight it anymore. I can see your frustrations about SO...maybe another CD friend could help
The best advice I can give to crossdressers: try to be funny instead of creepy. More Eddie Izzard, and less Buffalo Bill. Crossdressing weirds out a lot of women. Defusing their apprehension with humor is probably the way to go.

I wish ''giving up'' would actually work! I would have done so fifty years ago! I think there is some good advice above! Taking and using some of that advice would be much easier then ''trying'' to give up! Hoping the best for you!

I am not advocating giving up on your SO. However relationships can not be all one sided. Assuming this is very important to you.. You can try talking to her about this. You can keep this a separate part of you. Maybe you get to be yourself on the weekends or something.. If she is one of those who will not compromise whatsoever. Then she may not be the right person for you. In the end though you are the only one who can decide what to do.

Have you tried talking with her about it? You say she's not into it like she used to be...in what way? Have you given thoughtful consideration to how CDing manifests itself in your relationship? For example, was dressing part of bedroom play or something else?

Does your SO realize how important this is to your health and well being? Just how important is this to you in the overall scheme of things? All I know you can do is to talk about it , it gets very tiring trying to walk around the "elephant in the room".
