I was always more attracted to MaryAnne. However, I want to be more like Ginger.

At this point Ginger, so feminine, but eventually Mary Anne so settled and pretty
MaryAnn was so cute

There are varying levels of beauty. Mary Anne was my choice because of her more natural looks even though there was definately make-up in there (another thing with a never ending supply on the ship). Ginger was absolutely glamorous but I prefer more of accentuating natural looks instead of changing them if that makes sense.
I vacillate. Usually I prefer Mary Anne and want to be a sweet girl. But sometimes I just wanna be the bombshell.
I've always been a sucker for a red head.
I know enough to know I don't know enough.

Mary Ann by day for sure - sometimes Ginger in da evening!
Oh yeah, Ginger's wardrobe was to die for. Sequined gowns, high heels, what's not to like?
RIP Russell Johnson, the only character in the history of television who could make a radio out of a coconut but couldn't patch a hole in a ship. Hugs, Michelle
I'm a little surprised that Mary Ann is so far ahead in this poll
Like others, I always liked Mary Ann best. She's the predecessor to Daisy Dukes to me...
As I've been CDing...that side of me appreciates Ginger more. But still MA's for me
And I dunno about suspending disbelief..
but I sure suspend the logic half of my brain watching the show.
I usually plan to look like Maryann, have the sex appeal of Ginger, have the resources of Mrs. Howell. But in the end I wind up looking like the Skipper in drag.
I always liked Mary Ann. I heard she was a lesbian. That makes two of us!

I read recently that the reason Maryann wore the shorts was because Ginger was so tall (around 6') that Dawn wanted shorts so that she didn't look too short when they were standing together. She felt that the shorts made her legs look longer.
Ambigendrous

My hair is Ginger's color. My personality is more like Mary Anne, at least when not suppressing Suzanne!
Suzanne
Well I preferred Mrs Howe, but love Mary Anne. Smart, practical, sexy

Mary Ann. Love, love, love the girl next door!
Definitely Mary Ann. I also had a crush on her.

Mary Ann. Mary Ann. Mary Ann
Team MaryAnn. But I probably look more like one of the natives in a dress.
For me it was always Mary Ann.
Mary Ann is more my style.
It was a shock to me when I found out that this fall will 50 years since Gilligan's Isle first aired.
Also sad to hear that the only surviving cast members are Ginger and Mary Ann......since the professor just passed away.
MaryAnne for me aswell. I always loved the girl next door. Ginger was too high maintenance.
Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
Why can't I be both?
As long as I don't get to be Mrs. Howell. I could never stand when Thurston Howell referred to his wife as Lovey.......ick!

I have always answered Mary Ann when asked this question. She always seemed the more approachable of the two. Ginger is of course very hot also.
Remember WKRP, Jennifer or Bailey? Jennifer was the unapproachable blonde and Bailey was the hot brunette girl next door. Bailey or Mary Ann? Is the real hard question to answer.
