    Let it Go

Last week my wife and daughters and I went to see the Disney movie Frozen. For some (I think obvious) reason, when the song 'Let It Go' came on the screen it was something I could relate to on a deeper level. I transposed the language into an expression of my transgender identity. I loved the movie, and this song, with it's new meaning for me, is one of my favorites.

What do you think? Do you hear the words in songs speaking directly to you and your reality?

Great song. My girlfriend is obsessed with that movie. Maybe I should see it to.

    Cool song - magical...

Some songs just hit the spot for me - too many to mention, that must be me getting more sentimental with age..

I will have to listen to the Frozen song Let it go.
Other tunes and words have had a great effect on me and my outlook on life over the years.

    Liz,
I have listened to the song and it does nothing for me.
Maybe in the context of the film it has meaning.
Sorry to be a damp squid.

I always love Disney music and they seem to work many different subtle hidden meanings into much of their work...magically.

Frozen is an amazing movie! Regardless of your thoughts about cartoons, the movie was fun the songs powerful and the message important!

    Hi Liz,

Ah music can have such a profound experience and over the past months many songs have spoken to me and given me courage to accept who I am. This song is great and thanks for sharing . . . Yup until I finally "let it go" and accepted me for me, I felt sad. Now that I have let it go there is no looking back.

    Hugs

This got me thinking. I'm much like Elsa, when hiding myself from the outer world. Constantly afraid they know I like crossdressing, which I still see as a curse. I'm still not at the point where I can just 'let it go', though :').
