That is precisely what we do. We're married. What's mine is hers and vice versa. We use the same closet. The stuff I selected is on one end, the stuff she selected is on the other. Who bought it is unknown as we shop together and one or the other of us pays. Quite a few items we don't quite remember who selected so they are in the middle. There is no boundary to cross from one end to the other. Some things look better on her, others on me, but it would be stupid not to use something simply because it was selected by the other person.

The other day we had a family visitor and wanted to take her someplace dressy. She only had "traveling clothes." Between my spouse, myself, and my daughters we managed to outfit her with a very pretty and stylish outfit and jewelry. We all had a great time and she was able to enjoy a nice outfit that she didn't have to pay for or carry on the airplane.
