Yo. Six years each Marine Corps Reserve and National Guard.

Sometimes I make sense and that frightens me.
Please don't let me be the last post on this thread
I'm about as close to that as many...except I draft dodged. Illinois National Guard 67-72. I was so ashamed at the time but, if I did the real deal, I know I'd be killed somehow. It's just me.
Instead, it was Maintenance, CO's driver. Company clerk. Best looking jeep and uniform of the group. But never realized a need to come out until a few years ago.
Now I'm as bi as a Wright Brothers flying machine. Off I go.......

"RA all the way", as we said back in the late 60s. Enlisted for 3 years for GI Bill college funds - and experiences, some good some bad. I was way too concerned with other things to even contemplate crossdressing.
Georgia (Gigi) Maine
US Army ASA 05H20 from Feb 1969 to April 1972.
Two tours in South East Asia (Thailand).
8 years in the U S Coast Guard. Never dressed during that time.
US Navy 1974-1978. Aviation Electronics Tech.
Loved my job, hated the military.
I even requested Captain's Mast after two years. I walked in and told the old man I wanted out of his F'n canoe club!
After he retrieved his chin from the floor, he just said, "Petty officer, sit down and we will talk about it."
I didn't dress then. I would just cut my eyes at the shoes in the window of women's stores.
I was ashamed of the feelings I had at that point of my life.
Those feelings have change tremendously.
5 years US Army. med board after combat related injuries in 2011
74-78 US Army, 91T20. Too busy trying to pretend it didn't exist and to be a "manly" man.
The earth is the mother of all people and all people should have equal rights upon it.

Its amazing how many here served in the armed forces, I didn't (was in grad school) but many thanks to those that did serve and are still serve. I would have a hard time putting myself in harms way as so many of you have!!

Retired Navy 4 years active 17 reserve. All my dressing has been post military OK I'm a late bloomer!
18 years in the Air Force, I was a Cryptologic Linguist at first and then later a Communications-Computer Systems Programmer.
Had a line number for Master when my back problems (I have a half dozen discs that are ruptured) made me "Non World Wide Deployable", and when that happens they process you for discharge.

USAF stateside '73-'74, SAC ICBM (Minuteman II) support base. Medical Supply, and we handled the laundering of the nurse's uniforms. Sometimes they had their intimates mixed in, too.
In addition to uniforms, I had access to brassieres, panties, slips, and girdles. Purchased low-heeled white pumps and white panty hose to complete my look.
During locker inspections in our dorms, I was a tad nervous... but I'm pretty sure they just thought I was dating a co-worker!
U.S. Army 1978-1981 Germany. Snuck in a few dressing times.
United States Marine Corps, Active Duty, 1975 ~ 1995. Retired Gunnery Sergeant, Grunt, (Infantry), Logistics, Marksmanship Coach, Primary Marksmanship Instructor, Drill Instructor (X2).
Very confusing time in hindsight, fought being inclined toward femininity, and have for the better part of my Life, but still drawn toward it like a moth to the flame.
US. Army 2003-2011 with three tours to OIF. Dressed before I joined and after basic and my first phase of AIT, I slowly dressed (mainly underdressed when possible). I dressed a little more in the privacy of my barracks room once I got to my duty location. I was caught once during an inspection and said the clothes belonged to a girlfriend. Now that I'm out of the military, I dress when its possible.
Thanks to all who have served. I find it quite interesting how many Vietnam vets are here!
I was in the US Navy but only at sea for two years after that duty it was great, but those two years were long.
For this thread, I am breaking my staying off the forum for a post. U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command. Minuteman 2 missile security Grand Forks North Dakota. mid 1970's. No desire to dress until out, in 76

Air Force 66 to 70
Stayed in NC
USAF 4 years active, another 8 reserves. Did not dress while in at all, but shaved legs the first month I was out.
Germany late 80s army intelligence..... suppressed feelings. I thought crossdressing was a perverted fad I had gone through. After getting out on my own, addiction was back.
