I work as a consultant for a big computer company. I go out to client sites far a month or two, then work from home for a few months.
This made it much easier to dress, not have to worry about a friend seeing me (even other people on my team didn't recognize Debbie as being Rex).
When on the road I would often stay for 2-3 weeks at a time, making it even easier to rack up a boatload of Real Life Experience hours.
When I decided to transition, it happened almost too quickly. I hadn't done the legal name change, so I did a gig as "Rexxie" until I could do the paperwork. Now I'm Debbie at work and elsewhere. By the next engagement, there will be no memory or markers of Rex other than a few co-workers who remember me. I did have to change the CV a bit. I have kept the two linked because I didn't want to mess up credit history or engagement history. Ironically, the biggest problems I've had are loyalty programs - some don't want to let me change my name, but instead want me to start a new account - and loose all of my previously earned status a travel points.
Computer consulting, business consulting, testing specialist, or even "Kelly Girl" are all great places to be able to strut your stuff in appropriate ways.
The thing is that if you are seriously thinking about working while dressed, you are probably transsexual and should really have a talk to your therapist about gender transition support.

Ha! That is an easy one . . . Retired with a pension and being able to wake up naturally for a change and just enjoy being . . . me in three years.
Okay, not a job but after 32 years in the same career . . . that is my dream job.

Hi Sara, Been retired almost 6yrs. it's hard to even think about a job, Maybe being a secret shopper for women's clothing stores.
Having my ears triple pierced is AWESOME, ~~......
I can explain it to you, But I can't comprehend it for you !
If at first you don't succeed, Then Skydiving isn't for you.
Be careful what you wish for, Once you ring a bell , you just can't Un-Ring it !! !!
I am not out. Dream jobs for me (since I like art and being creative) would include:
- Fashion designer for women's apparel
- Beauty consultant
- Nail artist

i dressed like a girl and i liked it! crossdressing...theirs an app for that
Airline Stewardess, I'm out to the wife and dress everyday, but still drab in public. :-(

Aint nothin gonna happen that aint supposed too!
I'd like to be a bra fitter in a lingerie boutique catering exclusively to a young, attractive, and open-minded clientele.
I have dibs on Goddess of the World!
If I really have to have a job, I probably already have as close as I'll ever get to dream job. I mean, what's not to like about working in air-conditioning around people on vacation, gambling, drinking, partying and the constant parade of beautifully enhanced gorgeous women. I have a wonderful female boss and along with uniforms, two company supplied meals a day, generous salary and pension and healthcare, what's not to like.
Now then, fantasy jobs? Dolly Parton's bra manager or restraint technician for BD films.
I've waited so long for this time. Makeup is so frustrating. Shaking hands and I look so old. This was a mistake.
My new maid's outfit is cute. Sure fits tight.
And then I step into the bedroom and in the mirror, I see a beautiful woman looking back at me.
Smile, Honey! You look fabulous!
I don't care what kind of job it is as long as it pays lots of money so I can spend my time shopping! Oh, and not work to many hours, that just takes away from the shopping.
Magic is the art of changing consciousness at will.
A sales associate for any womens clothing store.
Working stocking the racks and such, would be good enough for me.
my sister's reply when I told her how I prefer to dress
"Everyone has there thing, all that matters is that you are happy, love what you do and who you do it with"
Same for me a sales associate for any women's clothing store or Airline stewardess, just love the uniforms.
Shoe fit tester for Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin.
Fashion designer or something in the fashion design business. I even considered going to art college to study it at one point and would love to get involved in it at some level even now. I think it's the ideal job for a CD. No one bats an eyelid at effeminate men in that business. In fact it's almost a prerequisite. The fact that only do you make beautiful clothes but wear them as well would almost be applauded.
I would not want to work in a shop even a ladies clothes shop. Bad pay and long hours on your feet all day. Not interested.
Same as one of my jobs now...Scuba instructor, just in warmer climates and in bikini !!!
Seize the day. Life is short, and you're dead a long time...just sayin' ...
Dream job would have to be a PA for a fashion mogul that way i could stay up to date on all the latest fashion trends, free clothing samples, i get to run around NYC and look pretty lol lol and of course Paris during fashion week. Ok just give me the job from The Devil Wears Prada
The catalog photographer that I once was but wearing all the clothes that I used to get the girls dressed in.
It would be so much easier to explain what I required in the way of presentation.
Work on your elegance,
and beauty will follow.
Maybe a psychologist that specializes in TG issues. Or something else where I would be the expert helping other CDs. Fashion, makeup, hairstylist, dominatrix…?

Personally delivering exotic cars to their new owners, who live about 500 twisty turny miles from the dealership, and want the delivery man to 'break in' their car for them on the way to their house. And I promise not to wear heels while driving (which is a good idea in any situation). My first delivery will be the new BMW i8. 2014-bmw-i8.jpg
Some causes of crossdressing you've probably never even considered: My TG biography at:http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/...=1#post1490560
There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.
First choice, obviously enfemme a model for women's clothes for like store ads and circulars, not a super model though. An being closeted and having been a hairdresser I think I would want to try doing it enfemme (Dream jobs, I pass %100).
great responses from all, thanks for participating, we can all dream, right!
My dream job would be, the drummer in a all girl rock band. Yes I would have to wear flats while playing, but I don't mind I love flats. Daviolin

A CD AND HIS WARDROBE, ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING.
Hi Isha, I must say to you that being retired is wonderful. As you say getting up when you want (everyday is like a sunday) and watching everybody else rushing to get to and from work. Then you are free to do as you please with no one giving you orders...do this do that. Stay in or go out...the world is yours.
I did my fifty years, so why should I not enjoy my life and my pension...I have earned it. One long holiday.
Julie.
who wants to work???? cant I just sit around being pretty??? ....but if i did..I wouldnt mind being a makeup artist, a cd/tg event party planner, and a CD shoe designer....I'm working on the first 2...but that third one......that would be the ish.
