    Pulled over

Yup, got pulled over by the Michigan State Police on Friday night around 10pm. Yes I was dressed fully enfemme. I was wearing a white sweater dress (short). He looks at me when I handed him my license and the look of shock was priceless. He pulled me over because he said he could not read my plate?!?!?! He better get glasses, because there is nothing wrong with it. Told me I need to get a new one and let me go.

Think he went home that night and made some google searches he'd never made before? You may have transformed his entire life honey.

"Hey Lieutenant- do I look fat in this?"

LOL... That is a funny thought Nikki.

So Karyn, did your heart go pitter patter when those flashing lights came up behind you? I think he just wanted to meet the cute chick driving that car.

Jorja is right, I know some cops pull over girls to check them out, from what my sister and other girls told me. Guess he found you shockingly beautiful

Yup, agree with what Jorja said on this one. I suggest you have another plate made to hang under the real one, that says I am a man. That will stop the troopers from pulling you over.

Oh yes for sure! I agree with Jorja, I think he seen a cutie and wanted to get a better view, and I guess you said you were wearing a short sweater dress, so I guess he got his view and more. The plate reason does sound a little lame.

If he truly could read your plate I am more inclined to agree this was just a way to check out the woman in the white sweater dress. Interesting story and thanks for sharing.

It must have been a quiet day for him. I bet he thought he had better get something in the book before he finished for the day.

Well Karyn, it is very possible you were stopped by a very amorous police officer who radar detected a pretty girl who just had to meet him. What a surprised he got, and as someone said, might triggered a thought, interest, or journey that he hadn't planned. I'm glad the experience was not unpleasant and the officer allowed you to proceed to your destination without a prolong detainment.

Yet, you mentioned it was around 10pm. Was the traffic light? Were you in an area that was dangerous, unusual for traffic at that time of night? There are triggers that will grab a good officer's attention and his inquisitive nature will manifest itself into action. We pay police officers to "check things" out when their attention is peaked.

But whatever the reason was, it was an experience.

Really? If it was 10 PM and he was approaching from the rear it could very well be he could not read the license plate. With a headrest obscuring a lot of the head and body he would not be able to see if you are a sexy woman or just another car with old plates. In Washington there is a reflective material on the plates to enhance the readability of the plate. In fact the plates are automatically aged out and new ones issued.

I'm sure he may have been totally surprised over your gender. It's not every day a cop or anyone else encounters a cross dresser in the wild.

Just let it go is the wisest thing to do.
I am extra careful when dressed, I don't even speed.

Love at first sight to the cutie driving the car. You handled it well. Maybe next time he will not be so quick to pull over a car with a beautiful woman driving.

I was pulling off of I-94 east in Jackson to go north on US127 to Lansing. I spent a few hours at Firekeepers Casino and was heading to Lansing to Club Tabu. I doubt he saw anything before pulling me over. I was in my Toyota 4Runner, it was pretty dirty, but I am half blind and I can read the plate. I will not be replacing it anytime soon. When he did approach the window when it was down...he did get a good view of a lot of thigh high covered leg. And no. my heart did not go pitter patter when the lights came on. Actually I was a little bit pissed because I was not speeding (cruise control) and obeyed all traffic laws. Which when he asked for my license, I asked him what I did wrong. Kind of ticks me off, but it is what it is.

Just a little note, depending on the situation, and police officer, sighting a driver who is obeying every traffic law, can be a red flag for a police officer, especially if he's executing drug interdiction methods.

I can assure you that some officers do stop girls to meet them. A red light is very convenient in such situations. It does break the monotony of the evening or night. My daughters think that it is funny. When young both dated police officers and both have been pulled over and given the officer's phone number via their card or the "warning".

Don't get me going on MSP. Here in northern Michigan they stop people for no reason at all, just to run another computer check. Sometimes they say you were weaving, or you "drifted over the fogline". Then they act like they are doing you a big favor and let you go with a warning for something you didn't do in the first place. They don't have actual quotas for tickets as such. But they are required to make "2 1/2 contacts per hour", or 20 "contacts per 8 hours", unless they are busy doing something else. A lot of people don't know this. They have "activity logs", that need to show what they have done during the shift. And the cops are obsessed with their LEIN [Law Enforcement Information Network] checks. The more stops and computer checks they make, the closer they are to making an arrest. My ex wife used to be a LEIN operator for the MSP, so I know quite a bit about how they operate. If you come along the highway, driving perfectly well, and the cop hasn't made a stop in a while, he will stop you, just to show some activity in his log! I have no sympathy for crooks, but people conducting themselves in a lawful manner have a right to be left alone!

There IS the possibility he pulled you over to check you out. Hell, no cop ever pulls ME over to check me out. I could be drinking a beer, smoking a joint, and hanging my fishnet-hose covered legs out the window and they wouldn't notice. OK fine, my ego will recover. Whatever, doesn't matter...

Another possibility is he really could NOT read your plate. He might have been illiterate. "Eight, three, uhh, what's that letter?"

Dont read into it too much girls. It could have been anything from a possible bad plate, to an OWI grant. Here in WI the police get special grants a few times a year to conduct an OWI night. Any slightest infraction and they can pull you over. It is to find people who may be over the limit. If you are not, they are polite and give you a warning for such infraction.

Never been pulled over dressed but was stopped several times for no obvious reason. Once by uniformed officers in an unmarked car. They said I was speeding. I was a bit but they could just as easily have said they couldn't read the number plate. It was obvious though they weren't traffic officers and really they were not interested in my speed. It was late at night and I think they were looking out for drunks or drug dealers because the area I was passing is well known for that kind of crime. After checking me out they cheerily waved me on my way.

I suspect your stop was for a similar reason. But he go more than he bargained for! But then again like most cops, they've probably seen it all.

Yes, Marie, been pulled over by cops in unmarked cars a few times too (there's also a funny story about once when they could / should have pulled me over but didn't cos THEY were speeding and didn't want to have to explain to their Inspector! phew!).
I've a mate who's a cop and he explained the procedure. They're looking for someone. They have a general description but can't verify without stopping the vehicle. So if they see a combination of vehicle & occupant(s) that meets the general description they'll find a 'traffic' reason to pull the vehicle in and ask for some ID. They generally know, even before you've produced your ID whether you're of any interest but they check it anyway just so that it's not too obvious what they were really doing, and send you on your way. Keep calm, give them your ID, and all will be well.
Of course, if you happen to be a fugitive or the cops are traffic cops then, as they say, your mileage may vary!
