Julie - First, a lot of people eat by themselves at work or like to be alone. But I don't think being friendly or communicating with others at work should be related to your crossdressing, unless you are dressing to some extent at work. Why would you feel you are risk for being outed? Like other comments above, I think being a loner and isolating yourself might bring greater attention as well as a possible negative reputation for being a non-team person, or unfriendly, or non-communicative. Depending on your occupation, that could hurt you. Maybe it is shyness or insecurities, which many of us have, that are influencing your distance with others, which you can address, if an issue?
