    Breasts Thickening

My primary care doctor examined my breasts because one of them had become quite tender when pressed or bumped. She sent me for a mammogram which I had last week, and my diagnosis was gynecomastia with no indication of malignancy. I've simply begun adding breast tissue for some reason. I'm not on hormones and am not transitioning but I do wear a bra every day (38B) and told my doctor about it. She just agreed that it's more comfortable to have the support. I always present as a male and I'm not scared to wear an opaque T-shirt in public. I leave it untucked because I have a belly I'd rather not flaunt, so it drapes from my breasts. Over the past year I've become less concerned with what others might think. Sometimes I wear a little eye makeup and pink lipstick. I feel good when I show my femininity to this extent, and find that I'm more outgoing with strangers and feel better in my own skin as the saying goes. Over the past couple of years nobody has called me on my makeup or breasts.

I know when I was younger, like many here I would guess, I'd have wished for something like that to happen to help make sense of my mind set.

Not to make a joke of your situation though however, is it something you don't mind happening or would you consider breast reduction to remove them?

Agreed - I really don't think I'd mind at all if this happened to me. I'm not going out of my way to grow breasts, but if it happened naturally? I think I'd take it...

I developed at eleven, if you think it was hard at times growing up try being a boy developing like a girl. I pretty much had no friends, only person I spent time with was my sister, which now we are as close as sisters can be.

I always had gyno. As far back as I can recall.once a DR asked me about it and said they could correct it i was about 17 embrassing the heck out of me. Now I am a full B cup and they still seem to be getting bigger. I love them my wife loves them and I don't care what others think. If I grew to a full C would be perfect.

I have been obsessed with wanting breasts for a while now and have had progressive growth over the last year. My gynecomastia is from a medical condition combined with weight loss from exercise plus lifting weights that have lifted my chest. I have also helped them along with massage etc.

I am a 38/40 B and only recently have I had some discomfort relieved by wearing a sports bra. I feel big but have quite modest moobs compared to many men.

That said, my wife plays with them sometimes and being that they are now very sensitive, so do I. 😊

Not to rain on the parade but if the breast growth increases or steadily progresses without increased weight gain, think about getting an endocrinological evaluation. Will not go into the differential diagnosis here but there is one for males.

As we get older it isn't unusual for testosterone to be converted into estrogen

I'd love to have my breasts grow without any hormones or anything! All I have read about enlarging breasts for men has side effects I am not willing to live with. I used to be heavier and had almost a b cup but now that I am more fit I swim in all my bras My wife does her best to make them larger with massage and other things but still my chest gets firmer. Oh well, at least I have help to try and grow.

I can't name the drug in here, but I have been on a prescription drug for over 6 years now, for prostate enlargement, and have nice boobs to show for it. My doctor noticed it saying, "you have some breast growth here". I explained it was from the prostate meds prescribed by the urologist. It says right on the info pak "may cause breast growth". And it does, and I'm fine with it!

Laura912 has it right. There may be something unhealthy going on that causes breast growth as a side effect. This calls for medical attention to get that ruled out.

All I can say is the physiological changes that have occurred and the effects of being on hypertension medication have been a blessing for me and my girls. But good for you for having the wherewithal for having yourself checked out!!. So much better being safe than sorry. Good to hear it is all o.k., so now go out and enjoy them!

I had some breast growth a few years ago on one side only and had a mammogram. Not many men know what goes on in there. Anyway, there were no issues and over the years the growth went away.

While it's easy to imagine wanting female breasts, the reality is, they would limit the things you can do (like going to a public beach or pool) and they get in the way of wearing breast forms. Since I'm only a part time woman, forms work out better for me.

Thank you all for your comments and concerns. I have an excellent doctor and access to specialists so I'm not worried about my breasts from a medical standpoint. I'm happy as I am and wouldn't consider breast reduction unless I became considerably larger. Even then I'm not sure. If anyone else would like to share a similar experience or has thoughts about this issue, please contribute. Thanks again to all of you who have.

Hi Laura, there's a phsycological theory that suggests that to be truly male OR female you have to fully embrace or at least understand your opposite identity. Not sure if this fits for you but look for teachings on Carl..can't recall the last name but he's of Asian decent..
