From where do you take inspiration?

I always look around when I'm in public to girls that stand out. I love the sexy but elegant look. I look what is standing in the windows of female stores.
Also what people are wearing on in movies and series.
I'm always scanning my surroundings for nice outfits to copy and wear.

My inspiration comes from classic music concerts. It is common nowadays for musicians to dress in black, and I admire the gowns of the ladies in choirs and orchestras. I study how they are dressed, and I try to purchase the same, adapted to my age and morphology.

I have to confess that one of my highest dreams would be to sing in a concert as Marie-Claude. But unfortunately my social environment is not prepared for that.

Mostly it's sexually provocative/attractive that inspires me - the classic short skirts etc.
I realise this is mutton(ram) dressed as lamb, but I like it.
If it has flare/flounce, the look appeals, that's stage 1.
Stage 2 is how I feel wearing it, if that's not right then it does not work.

I enjoy now shopping, catalogues, a whole area of life I ignored for too too long. It seems a gurl can never have too many clothes/shoes!

I have become the consummate girl watcher. For the most part, I've discovered that maybe 70% of the women I see don't have a bit of fashion sense. In fact, their choice of clothes range from "I want to look as sloppy as possible" to "I don't care how much of my underwear and cellulite you see" to "Don't you love the bulges this darling spandex outfit reveals?"

And then there are the others. Great coordinated outfits, shoes and a spark of fashion sense that screams "I am woman... check me out!" LOL

Yep, my inspiration are the ladies that care about themselves. And from them I take what I can... noting everything they wear to how they comport themselves.

Well... I haven't considered that possibility, but, I guess you never know. Stranger things have happened.

Not quite the same thing, but it's startling to see how many makeup videos there are on Youtube (other video-streaming services are available, natch) of GGs creating a 'drag' look. Half of the drag tutorials seem to be done by GGs. Inspiration/imitation causing inspiration.
