Touching moment of acceptance and his transition.

My dad brought me to the airport tonight for my onward flight to London. It was nice being home for a couple of days.

As he dropped me off he gave me a hug and kissed me on the forehead.

That brought a bit of a tear especially considering how worried I was with coming home back in June and him accepting the new me.

Clearly my dad has made the transition.

    Love my dad.

    Cheers... Jennifer

My dad passed about two years ago so this really touches me, I know I'd be 'that dad' if I were to be called upon so to speak 😢

Dads are exceptional creatures and every now and then we get moments like this.

I'm really glad for you, Jennifer

I love hearing when parents treat their children this way, so happy for you.

It's so nice to read this. I have no idea whatsoever what my parent's reactions would have been. They are both long gone.

The kiss on the forehead is telling in particular. Common with an adult daughter, not so much with a son.

It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday Jenny, no wonder your Dad responded how he did as you are a lovely person.

You have a really good, nice to be around energy.

A parents love for a child is unconditional, but sometimes takes a little while. I couldn't be happier for you.
