    weird situation

i got dressed up and was feeling really good so decided to go out to the casino and just walk around. slowly shaking off the nerves and getting braver. so i walked around the whole casino not a care in the world and no one cared. they looked at me but i didn't really care. i was enjoying myself. but when i was walking back to my truck i heard someone following me. so i hurried up and got in, looked down to take my heels off and when i looked up this guy was staring at me saying you got great style. great style and giving me the O.K. symbol with his hand. he did this for about a goo 15 seconds until i acknowledged him and said thank you. not sure if he knew or was being nice but it was just really creepy and was my first time being in a situation like that.

Maddy, would you do that to a woman? Do you now anyone who would do that to woman? No, it is not nice and it is most assuredly creepy. Situational awareness is important.

He was walking to his car but to just stop and stare at me and say something is what made it weird. I was thinking maybe he was a cd too but I just wanted to get out of there incase he tried to follow me

I agree, this is definitely creepy behavior. Your situation should serve as a remainder to us all to always be aware of our environment. Thankfully, you were not harmed.

It would make me uncomfortable also. However, he could have been a CD trying to give you a compliment. We don't get much practice interacting with others, especially in uncontrolled situations.

Casinos are not a good place to be out and alone. I somewhat frequent casinos, and there are just a lot of people who are at them that are shall we say, not healthy upstairs.

Not exactly the same situation, but a few years ago, i was shopping in drab at a Salvation Army store, and in walked this lovely lady in a great dress, and heels! She was not too far from me looking around, and i just had to compliment her look. She thanked me sincerely. It was different though, plenty of other shoppers. Your situation was scary, because he stayed ther 15 seconds looking. It is sad, that there is so much crime and violence and rape in the world, and everyone must be feared some. One thing men are cursed with,is being feared as possible predators, even good guys. GGs have to live in some fear of all men, sadly.

So next time we have the "I just saw a crossdresser while I was out, how should I acknowledge her?" thread, we should probably cross the "follow her to her car and tell her she has style while making the pizza chef OK sign" off the list?

well, considdering there's a large amount of people out there assuming CD is per definition sex related, and like it or not a lot of men think we are per definition always horney, it sounds to me like a "just say something maybe I'll get laid" remark.

I've seen so many similar remarks made in parking lots at clubs by guy's trying to pick up girls going home, and the girls always being creeped out.. they usually tend to "hang out" at the central parking meter where you have to pay to get a parking slip... I usually call out something like "hey melanie, drive home safe hun" while walking by and giving the guy a "don't even try look" to difuse that situation. Always works, and often followed by a quick wave by the girl that I don't know.. sadly a lot of woman would recognise this situation.

    Maddy,
It is a different experience than what we think. My first encounter with a creepy male was in the Castro. I cried when I went home and told my wife. I had been hit in as a male by other males many times but this was totally different. I did not find it validating and it scared me. That was very early in my journey almost 3 years ago. Now I have learned to accept compliments and handle myself with more confidence. Don't let it keep you from being you!

Maybe he was also a crossdresser and he admired you for being out there? I've read a lot of posts in this forum from still-closeted members who asked should they say something and if so, what, when they were so happy to run into a sister out in public that they felt compelled to say something encouraging.

I work in a casino and do see CDs here from time to time. I've never heard of one having any issue or
Problem. Gamblers could care less what's happening around them.

Whether your dressed or not and you feel uncomfortable in walking to your car, ask security for an escort. They'll be happy to walk you out. And a small tip to them would be greatly appreciated

In a small way, you found out what it is like to be a woman. Unwanted attention by men is something that happens to women a lot. It's one of the reasons most women won't go out alone at night, especially to places like casinos and bars.

It's also one of the things crossdressers don't understand when trying to pass as women. Just looking like one isn't enough, you have to act like one. And part of that "acting like a woman" is not going to casinos and bars at night alone.
