    I did it!

    I finally worked up the courage to take the road trip as Stefani! I ended up changing when I was almost at my destination since my friend's husband doesn't know, but I made it most of the way. Stopping for a bite to eat was fun. I think the young man who helped me was a little surprised by me, but he didn't say anything, at least to my face. I can't wait to do it again.

    Right on. Welcome to the club!
    So many people experience what you did on their first time out. It really isn't all that hard and once you do it it only gets easier until it becomes just natural. Sure it takes courage and willpower the first time time but it only gets easier and becomes a really wonderfull experience. You'll finally find your real self. When I'm in drab I feel like I'm playing a role but when I'm en femme the role playing stops and I'm really me.
    Keep it up. In the long run, you'll never regret it.

    Any time we go out presenting female is exciting and fun (unless you live full time as a woman, then it's just the same old same old). Glad you got to do it.

    It seems we feel safer in our vehicles, or own little world if you will, so road trips are a great way to get out in the world. Just one stepping stone to being out and about as our femme selves to John q. Public. Sounds like a fun time for you, even with the surprising encounter, but no reaction is better than a negative one. Did you drive back as Stefani?

    It may of course be a bit disturbing to sense that one is really not so firmly anchored to the gender one was born into.

    So the way I'm reading this is;
    a) This is the first time you've been out dressed.
    b) You went into a diner as opposed to a drive through?

    That's a much bigger step than a drive dressed. Inter acting with the muggles is a different ball game. If you can manage both as a first step then there's going to be no stopping you from here on in. Bottle Genie Out; use to make a well know phrase or saying.

    Well done you!
