    I purged

Got home, de-robed, jumped in the shower than after dressing noticed my undies were discolored and had an extra hole, my socks got religious also. So off to the dresser and upon inspection of the contents the SHAME hit hard and I purged all. Tops and jeans, torn and stained had to go, even my shoes, how could I let this happen to my clothes? Well I guess all new male clothes from now on. I wonder if the guys at work will notice my new look?

It may of course be a bit disturbing to sense that one is really not so firmly anchored to the gender one was born into.

I question the use of "guys" and "notice" in the same sentence. I'm a guy. Just sayin'.

I've purged many times and can't remember how many. Pretty common I think. My attitude has changed a lot and only stuff I purge anymore are things I know I don't want.

We all need to purge things that are worn out, out of style, don't fit, among other things.

Unfortunately I buy more stuff than I get rid of, so I really need a good clearout as my storage space is limited. I have a few items I keep for sentimental reasons and the memories they invoke, some things you just can't part with!.

    Lisa,
I've really lost you on this one ! Are you saying you've kicked CDing and that's it, done with it ?

    Dianef,
Your last sentence sounds like my wife talking about me !

    Dana,
I get the drift now, in that case I'm as bad as Lisa, my drab stuff really doesn't interest me and I wish I could do as Lisa and dump it all.

I'm not sure I understand what you did. Was it a true deep purge of all feminine things or were you just unhappy with the state of some or most of your feminine things and decided to throw the stained and torn clothing into the garbage?

I think she said that she purged her Drab clothes and will buy new ones for work. But not her female clothes, right Allisa?

Purged almost all my guy stuff back in the early 2000's, when I realized that I looked like a slob. Cruddy worn jeans, dingy T shirts with faded prints, 'cargo' pants (who wants to look like part of a construction crew?), worn polo shirts, crappy khaki's, cheap windbreakers that didn't break the wind, all my base ball caps with dumb logos on them, I looked like someone who couldn't afford my next meal. Took a while to accumulate a whole new wardobe, but at least now when I leave the house I feel really good about how I look. Meantime, have also reviewed my girl stuff and tossed the discolored stuff, and donated the things that haven't fit for more than a few years to the local salvation army store. Of course, after making so much room in my closet, I fit in there way better.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

I can't say I completely understand but if you purged all your girly clothes. I am really sorry because I know how you feel. I want you to know that I do understand the pain you are feeling. If you are saying you purged your male drab clothes then girlfriend congratulations.

It seems Dana44 got it. I know a bit confusing about the subject and the text is vague but that was my intent to reverse the content because I am still a male after all. My femme clothes would never get in those conditions, I still have some "vintage" clothing from years gone by. Just a little brain teaser for the middle of the week.

    Lisa,
I must admit I felt something had gone badly wrong and you had decided that your dressing had to end and had mutilated your clothes, in desperation !

So glad I got it wrong and your drab clothes were the losers, I wish I could do the same but at times we just have to play the man and do his share .

Teresa, bite your tongue. The dressing that had to stop was my slob, unkempt work look, time to clean-up my male self.

Dang... Monday again with brain teasers lol. I cleaned myself up in the drab clothing for just the same reason.... my female soul was put out with looking like a male slob too! At least I could look nice in drab.... really...

I might follow your lead and purge some of my male clothes as well. Funny how the femme stuff gets more care, attention and money!

I am off to a medical appointment today. I also have a car load of old, but, totally usable male clothing that is being donated to a veterans' charity. I've been retired for some time now and never really "purged" all my usable dress shirts, slacks and excess jeans. My "holy" jeans stay in the house. They're my comfort clothes.
