Lola by the Kinks
Lola by the Kinks
My first foray into changing sexuality probably started about the same Lola came out. I had an experience with the different lifestyles in Chicago and I just thought the song was cool.
I played it on a "juke box" in a bar during the day and the bartender got angry. She changed it, giving me my money back. That was weird.
Today it would be "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"
So many songs!
Shania Twain -I Feel Like a Woman
Katy Perry -Firework
Spice Girls -Do It
Lady Gaga -Born This Way
Shiny Toy Guns -Turn to Real Life
Fergie -Big Girls Don't Cry
Eternal Flame by The Bangles. Gets me into my feminine voice's register.
I heard "Didn't We Almost Have It All" midweek, and it made me think to myself in a moment of weakness that maybe some stuff might have worked out, or maybe I should have given it a chance.
But a 25-year decision does not get flipped in one day .
Btw, @Lacey New: I like that! .
I love "Can't Get you Out of My Head' by Kylie Minogue. So femme!
Suprised not to see " Ballad of Cleo and Joe" by Cyndi Lauper on this yet! Another would be "Secret" by Heart
Man! I Feel Like A Woman by the great Shania Twain
My Humps by The Black Eyed Peas
Firework by Katy Perry
Born This Way by Lady Gaga
Lola by The Kinks.
Better Not Tell Her - Carly Simon
Beautiful - Christin Aguilera
Lola - The Kinks
lol...Turn the page..
Most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can
All the same old clichés: "Is that a woman or a man?"
And you always seem outnumbered, you don't dare make a stand
Here I am, on a road again
There I am, up on the stage
Here I go, playing the star again
There I go, turn the page
Anberlin-Feel Good Drag
"If you think you can or can't, you're right" -Henry Ford
