Finally went jogging outside as a girl!

    Hi ladies!

First time posting, but long time reader.

I've been crossdressing for about 7 years, mostly as a sexual fetish, but occasionally as something more when my inner girl calls out to me. No family or close friends know (I live far away), though a big-city neighbor or two has over the years. Everyone thinks I'm a typical manly man.

I'm mostly into the kind of stuff that sexually overcharged teenage boys like, so it's been a lot of Victoria's Secret and fancy / skimpy dresses in private, though I have managed the courage a few times to go through a drive-through or walk around the neighborhood dressed head-to-toe (with more classy / ladylike dresses) w/ full makeup where even if you know I'm a guy you wouldn't recognize me (LGBT safe areas, of course).

I'm also pretty athletic, so I have a small collection of Victoria Sport workout clothes to see what I'd look like as a fitness girl. A few times I've had the courage to wear a thin sports bra under my shirt, but never anything you would notice at a glance. I've come close to doing more, but always stopped myself at the door. Not today.

Today I wanted to run just after sunset, and I had a rush of courage come over me by deciding to accept more of myself. For better or worse, this has been a part of me for years, and I'm tired of hiding everything. I like wearing women's clothes sometimes, and that's ok. I'm not trans. I'm not gay. I like feeling sexy and cute the way some cis girls do, and that's fine. I'm ok with occasional negative judgment from strangers. It's the negative judgment from myself I hated.

So I did it. I put on my pink sneakers and my leggings and my sports bra and my sparkly Victoria Sport top and put my wig in a pony tail and out the door I went. And it was fine. I jogged around for a while and went back inside, and felt great. My face had no makeup. My wig didn't cover all of my hair. I wasn't tucked. My chest was flat under my unlined bra. Yet it was exhilarating as I was clearly portraying female with no way out and nowhere to hide with my pink shoes, pink hair tie, and clearly visible bra through my open back shirt.

I was a boy wearing girls clothes going on a run. I was me.

Thanks for all the support and encouragement to this point and beyond.

    -Michelle

    Michelle,

It looks like as a long time reader you have picked up a few good pointers.

It appears you presented well and dressed correctly also.

I wish you well and remember to stay safe, no late night walks until you gain experience.

A few outings will do that.

    Oh! By the way......

I'm a lifelong runner and have always wanted to try this. I'm not so sure I would go out without makeup though; since I don't know how it would h old up in the cold. I know in hot, humid weather it would be unbearable. Has anyone here tried this in various types of weather?

For the fleeting glimpses runners get Angela, all you need is a smear of lipstick and something to cover any obvious beard line.

    I just close shave.

You've broken the ice, next time by all means tuck, small breast forms and pale lipstick. You'll pass as a girl. This time you were opening the door to be clocked.

    Good for you.
The rest of the world doesn't care what you wear to jog in so do it again and again.

Sounds like you're comfortable going out as a MIAD, Michelle? I think you're lucky u accept yourself looking that way.

Some of us HATE seeing that look in our mirrors!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Back in my running days, I would run in woman's shorts, shoes, top, and sports bra, or bra top in broad daylight with no makeup and my hair in a high ponytail.

I loved the knowing smiles and nods I would get from the GG's who I passed on the trail.

Only once did I ever get any flack, and it was from a group of teenage girls. So I didn't let it bother me.

Now that it's cold, I'm on the treadmill...and I'm dressed all girl for that....running skirt, bright tops, matching bra, and one of my collection of women's sneakers. When the weather breaks, I ride my bike outside very early in the morning. For that I wear capris, sleeveless or racerback top over sports bra, and "subdued" women's sneakers. I love working out in women's activewear...it's so much more comfortable and cooler for workouts. Capri tights are gaining popularity with male runners; it won't be long until they are normal, everyday wear for guys.

My jogging days are way behind me. It's great that you gathered up the nerve to go out as a girl. I agree it doesn't matter what strangers think, my problem is getting out of my house and neighborhood.

Next time, why not go all the way with breast forms and enough makeup to cover your beard shadow? It will be fun.

I've often thought about doing exactly the same thing - maybe an early morning run along our local cliff tops. One thing I've never managed to do is put any of my wigs into a convincing pony tail, so I've never taken the plunge and gone out for that run. All my wigs are long and I think it would look odd running without my hair tied back.

You say that like it’s a bad thing!

    Congrats! A fun first step!

My passage from risqué to yuppie is also gradual.

I love to bike in my racerback tanks and tights. (I found that my thong shows through when I lean forward, so I wear black panties under my tights.)

Congrats, Michelle! You did it once now onward and upward! You did the wig, next is forms and make up! Unless you are a MIAD, then just get out there again! Hugs Lana Mae PS: Welcome to the forum!

Good for you Michelle! Your post is a great example for those of us who have not made that big step yet.

this gives me an idea, maybe I might actually like running if I was dressed with wig and with breasts bouncing.

I don't jog anymore, but when weather permits I most of the time I wear women's short shorts and women's tops and shoes or leggings depending on weather conditions. I do wear a bra or sports bra and of course makeup and wig.I do my walks at a park near my house where they have walking trails and I see people there also walking all the time and know one pays any attention to me. I'm sure I don't completely have a female looking body, but I guess I have enough as I don't get any strange looks when I pass people walking. I enjoy walking more dress as a female that as a Male.
