Just wondering if there is a link with everbody because the first item I wore was mother's leather skirt and they happen to be my favourite items to this day.

I don't, however, I prefer stockings and a garter belt rather than pantyhose. They didn't have pantyhose when I was first trying on my mother's clothes. I'm not sure if that's why or if I just find them sexier.

As much as I love to dress up fully, other than wig and nails, the key to a fullfilling and blissful CDing interlude is stockings, thigh highs or pantyhose, in that order. Without hosiery and freshly shaven legs, all the other items of femme clothing somehow seem mostly meaningless or uninspiring. I know that is because I began my dressing activities at age 12 by wearing my mom's girdle, stockings and bras. It was my initial fascination and admiration for stockings and hosiery that "lit" the fire of curiosity that led to my first dressing episode.
Bare legs, for me, do not cut it no matter how cute the rest of the outfit and shoes are. Besides, heels feel uncomfortable to me without stockings.
Just my own personal preference, but a necessary element for my CDing.
Love,
Gretchen
Outside of whatever my sister's dressed me in once when I was too young to even know the difference, my first item was Pantyhose.
They are generally the first item I put on and the last that I take off.
Pantyhose/thigh highs/tights are all good.
Sometimes when I have to dress up for work (slacks and button down shirt) and can't find a matching pair of black socks (a problem that happens far too often to be accidental) I'll just go with a pair of black tights or pantyhose.
Yes. For me it was a pair of white cotton interlock (that's the same material that "Fruit of the Loom" tee shirts are made from) knickers, full briefs with elastic through the bands round the leg openings and the waist. There belonged to my 14 year old sister Anne and were quite commonly worn by girls and women in the mid 1960s. I still wear this type of knickers and am wearing pair as I type this.

Yes, for me it was my moms pantyhose. I rememeber trying on one of her skirts with pantyhose on and it felt wonderful. Guess thats why I have alot of pantyhose in my female wardrobe
Since I started with my mother's deep red lipstick---I STILL have an affinity towards the stuff. Any other color just aint the same, and I never feel "dressed" without it.
hi,
the first thing i was attracted to was ladies furs please see my fur photo.
Not sure which came first, Heels or Bras. Still sometimes I'll just clop around with heels and get my fix, but of course can't keep the Boobs in place without a bra (though I'm getting that adhesive soon for the thrill of braless boobs. Ooooooh!)
It appears that stockings are the favorite item. Me too.
I was about five or six and playing on the floor with some sort of childs toy and my older cousin, who was visiting walked by me, she was wearing a pencil skirt which was popular at the time, (mid 50's) and had on seamed stockings. At that instant my life was changed forever. I've always had a "thing" for seamed stockings. If I can't find seams then regular stockings will do. A bra is in second place for the items I have a "thing" for.

first item i ever wore was pantyhose, but for me it's hit or miss. i mostly like how they feel, definately like how they make my legs look, but I don't always wear them. Takes time to slide them on, easy to put snags in them, and they make your legs hot in the summer.
boots (women's fashion-to qualify-) hmmmm xx"K"

Well, for me my first item was an open bottom Playtex girdle, followed quickly by stockings, back in the early '60's. To this day, when I dress, it has to be with an open bottom Playtex girdle and stockings. or I don't feel like I'm properly dressed. Back then, pantyhose was not around yet. So I got to prefer stockings and never did care for pantyhose. I just got so used to hooking my stockings up to my girdle (or on occasion a garterbelt). I guess we are creatures of habit! And I do believe our first experiences in dressing definitely influence our preferences from then on. And for some reason, I also kinda prefer Playtex bras too...
Mom had a Playtex OBG that I would shake until I had it and stockings on.
Yes, definitely. I had no sisters, and mothers clothes were not accessible to me at the start. So, I improvised gowns and skirts using bed sheets. Then I found this rubbery protective bed sheet and, oh my, the feeling when I wrapped that around myself ! I'm still getting butterflies in my stomach as I remember that thrill decades later.
So, yes, I now have a thing about shiny smooth fabrics and love to include them in my dressing....Playtex rubber girdles, swishy shiny raincoats, PVC skirts/dresses...anything like that.
I guess you can tell which generation us girls that have a special place in our heart for the old fashioned playtex open bottom girdle that our mothers owned. My mom also had a brief type playtex rubber girdle that to me was pure heaven on earth.I do own a playtex ob rubber girdle today and would love to have a pair of the brief type but they go for huge money when they do show up on ebay. I can't believe they have survived all these years
I don't even remember what I wore first, but my favorite (at least in my imagination) is a pink dress belonging to my first wife (with her slip and panties and bra of course).
Yes Steph, the Playtex girdles do cost mucho $$$ on eBay, assuming you find one in good wearable condition. I have found one or two that way in excellent condition. You have no idea how wonderful it is to be able to wear one again!! Brings back lots of memories --- and I expect we older girls have plenty of those!!!
My first item was tights (pantyhose) and that was 30 years ago, but they are still my fav. item today. I try to wear tights every day the desire is as strong as it was on day one.
Being of the older generation, I would wear my mothers LLPG, it had satin front and back and a snap nylon crouch. Now I'm headed for the big 60 soon, I still have a fixation on anything that is of that type of era, I really don't dress without a nice snug girdle. GIRDLE! Isn't that a neat word. Turns me on just thinking of it. Yes I know, I'm wierd. Hehehe!

It would have to be stockings garter belt and a pair of full brief nylon panties worn properly over the garterbelt so feminine anything else is just clothes.
It was bra from Victoria's Secret. It was thier miracle bra collection.
At twelve years of age, it all started with Mum's pantyhose. I remember clearly that they were too big and bunched down at the ankles! Back in those days, there was no lycra in pantyhose!
The other thing that interested me early on was nail polish. All through my teenage years I was using nail polish on my toes, but had to be careful as my Mum never had a lot of spare remover at home (and I couldn't buy it as a boy back in the '70s).

I'm outa the closet, but still inda house!
Maybe not the first thing I ever wore, which quite frankly, I'm not sure what it was. I do remember my sister's dress that I wore when I was caught by my mother!
But the one thing that I seem to have a thing for is the first dress that I salvaged from my wife. She had only worn it a few times but after a few years of our marriage, she had outgrown it and she decided to 'send it out to goodwill'. Well, I 'rescued' that dress, and a few years later, it was the dress she found in the box when she found out I crossdressed. She asked me about it then.. (truly, she didn't recognize it!) and I told her about my crossdressing then. Through the years I have purged a couple of times, but we all know that doesn't work, but that dress, still hangs in my closet. It may be right out of the 1970's fashions, with a hem line shorter than anything I have, but I still have it! (and can still fit into it!)

It looks like, even among my own kind, I'm STILL wierd! For me, it was one of my mother's bathing suits I tried on when I was 12. It wasn't the first fem thing I wore, because I know I tried on some of my sister's ruffled panties long before that (very happily!), but this was the first thing that made me wish I were a woman as soon as I had it on. It was a one-piece, not a bikini like you'd probably think would been more exciting, but it still made me feel very sexy. It had three brass rings on each side holding the front and back together, very high cut legs, and molded cups that let me see what I would have looked like with breasts! I think I had fun trying it on because it molded itself to me in ways that even her bikinis (which I later DID try on) didn't do. First I just tried on her bathing suit. The next time, I tried it on with one of her flower petal bathing caps and her beach sandals. We had a creek behind our house and I wanted to badly to go swimming in it like that. Several times, I thought I'd do it when nobody else was home, but I chickened out every time. Every time I go swimming or sit in a jacuzzi en femme now, I guess I'm sort of re-living the excitement I felt when I was 12. Too bad that bathing suit style isn't made any more! I've gotten lots of others of my own, but I guess it's true that there's nothing like the first one you wear!
