    This looks familiar

While away on holiday with the SO we went to a dam nearby to where we were staying. A feeling of deja vu slowly crept over me and then it suddenly dawned that some years ago, while on one of my earliest femme weeks away I'd visited the same place while dressed. I know I have a mem stick with pictures taken at that time.

As we drove around the reservoir stopping at various view points memories of that day came back to me. I remember being very nervous about being observed and I even remembered what I was wearing.

It felt strange being back there. I was also struck by how differently I'd react to being seen if I were to revisit it again enfemme. Made me appreciate just how far I've come over the years. Perhaps in the future I'll go back and do a then and now picture comparison.

That'd be fun; reshoot the same shots

I've done only a few ventures out into public (other than driving around). I've found, even in my limited experience, that having 'done' something, the allure of doing that something has gone down a bit. Is that coming along? I don't know.

Dam, Helen, sounds like a great trip!

Just curious; do u ever call them, "flash drives", like we do now?
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

    Sherry,

Can be either but I'd say mem stick is the more popular.

    Julie,

I suppose doing something for the first time does carry an element of trepidation and heightened adrenalin that fades with familiarity.

I have had that same feeling many times, Helen. When the wife and I have been out to the same places I have been enfemme.

Think Sony used the term Memory Stick for their proprietary storage system for cameras and camcorders. And i still use them. That?s why I use the generic term Flash Drive to describe all other USB type storage devices (non rotating).

    hello, Helen,
was it a memory of a good or bad experience?
I find that memories of bad experiences are more vivid.

May 5, 2023 was the one year anniversary of my going out in public for the first time. I put on the same clothes I wore the first time, went back to the same park and sat on the same bench and just marveled at how much my life had changed in 12 months.

Definitely good. All part of my journey to the point I'm now at and the level of confidence I have in being out and about. And my dress sense has definitely improved!
