    Who remembers these shoes?

Seems like someone has bought up the rights to these cool Kork-Ease shoes from the 70's. I remember every second girl at high school had a pair of these at one time. They will be hitting the market soon priced at close to $ 200. Oh well, perhaps Payless will have a knock off at much less than that.

Cher and I just noticed, at a shoe store yesterday, that the fashion gurus are trotting out platforms for another go-round. I think of them as heels with training wheels.

I see a lot more GGs wearing wedge sandals like those than the stilleto-heeled kinds. The KORK-EASE shoes look really nice, but I'm willing to bet they'll only come up to size 10, meaning mostly just GGs will be able to wear them. That's how it always seems to be with really nice sandals!

Payless often has something similar, but even there, don't expect to find it higher than size 12. Come to think of it, I've got some almost like that - brown wedge sandals, with the X-strap in front. Instead of the instep strap like that one has, what I found has a wraparound ankle strap, which is a little bit sexier IMO!

AAAhhh, yes ladies, I remember many hot summer nights disco dancing in those shoes!! They go with everything!!! They keep your ankles strong, well, when you're young and they are already, LOL!! :dancing:
Sure wish I'd kept that pair, course they won't fit these fat feet anymore!! Rats!!

$200., it's amazing what "retro" will fetch!!

This is a bit spooky. When I looked at the thread title, Kork-Ease was the first thing that came to mind. It felt really strange when I opened the thread and there it was!! Gawd, does that bring back memories from 25 years ago. I bought 2 pairs mail-order from Tip Top Shoes in New York City. One was the Original style and the other was a 3" heel mule type of shoe. The Original was the regular tan water buffalo, but I had the mules dyed dark brown. Eventually my first wife pushed me to get ride of them and I eventually did. I actually wore them quite a bit; to the point where I had the Originals reheeled once and the mules about 3 times plus new soles. As long as you were walking on a fairly smooth surface, they were pretty comfortable. Wish I had kept them, and if I had known then what I know now about being a bi crossdresser, I would have!!

    Hi

I was only a child when the first hit the shops in the seventies, but I do remember wonting a pair. But now thow I could not wear them as it has been proven they are bad for your feet ie to many broken ankles.

    Love
    Lucy

I sent a message inquiring about sizes for guys and got the following reply:

"Hi Don---We will be introducing a men's line possibly next year. We are also developing different styles and are offering exotic skins, various fabrics, etc this summer. Check back in with me in a few months and I can give you a better idea of when we will be launching the men's line. thanks. suzie"
