A lot of it sounds familiar to me.

    In particular this one

I would have to say that fairly well covers my personality and traits. There are just a couple of things that dont really fit me.

Hitting way too close to home

I've read these somewhere before at least a couple of times, every time i do read them again, I can't help but think they have examined me inside out and backwards or that they have been looking at my personal diaries...

    Cheers

    Wink It's All True

I read this article last year. What Ms. Murphy mentioned is very true of me. The thing is that I like the quirks and eccentricities in life. It sure isn't boring.

This was a very good read Lucy. I read all her links as well. I can relate to much of what she wrote.

Lucy, you might be interested in this poll and previous discussion (six months ago) about the same article.

CaptLex also posted a poll in the FTM section and got similar results -- albeit only a handful of responses.

Have just read it myself and discovered that the bit about loners sums me up to a T. Have bookmarked it for future reference.

    Temprement

I have read that article a couple of times and find a great deal of comfort and identification. Somehow, this essay has helped tie my CD feelings and urges more clearly to what I have been experiencing my entire life. Especially it explains why I seem to enjoy solitude more than most people I know. The characteristics mentioned fit me pretty much 99%.
I think reading that article has been one of the most calming and comforting pieces I have read on CDing since I "restarted" my CD adventure 16 months ago after a long hiatus.
Today, I think I have a much better level of acceptance of my CDing thanks to that article.
    Love,
    Gretchen

Yup, fits me just like the others here.

Some of the other, less comfortable, linked articles also ring true.

There's good stuff in that link you posted, Lucy. I recognize myself there.
"Inside of every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened."

"The best thing about the MBasic that comes with the Kaypro is that it allows variable names longer than two characters."

    Hi

Thank you for all the replies, don't know a poll had been done on it before.
Seems we all have all or most of the traits the one we all have that stands out is loneiness, which is strange as I know I won't to have lots of friends but never seemed able to achive this.

    Well thank you

    Love
    Lucy

Those traits are me to a "t". It's so exact that it's kinda spooky.

Well, except for the part about science fiction and fantasy. I prefer non-fiction books for the most part. I need to run out and by "Collapse" by Jared Diamond.
