The real difficulty about shopping in Japan is in finding stores which have sizes that fit - the biggest size predominant on most racks are between 00 and 4, XXS, XS, and S.

Last night, I went to Yokohama. I looked through Gap, Banana Republic, J Crew, Uni Qlo, Comme Ca Ism, and a few others. I LOVE Uni Qlo - have all sorts of guy clothes from there, but I found a really cute skirt there, and I'm thinking seriously about getting some additional pants. Surprisingly, I think the pants will fit, but I'm having trouble finding tops in the right size. There style is very nice. The Comme Ca Store had loads of very nice items, including some dresses that were very tempting. It's a real find when you find something that fits AND is 40% off!

Shoes and underthings are nearly impossible to find if you're not a freakin' twig, which I'm not. There's apparently no girls in Japan with freakishly large feet, so I'm out of luck in that department.
