Interesting article in today's NY Times

Apologies for double posting this thread (identical thread in the transgender forum), but the subject matter may also be of interest to F2M crossdressers.

In today's (Sunday's) New York Times there is an interesting article on F2M transgenderism, and specifically the issues that this raises in the lesbian community. Obviously not an area of deep personal experience of mine, but I thought the regular readers of this forum might be interested.

The article can be accessed through the Times's web page at www.nytimes.com. Go to the "Style" section - it's the lead article.

I hope this will change in the future and our lesbian friends will come to accept us as people who need to change and not as sell-outs who've gone over to the "enemy".

I saw that article in the NYT too. FTM's have arrived in the nation's consciousness!

Great reading. Gender issues seem to be more and more in the pubic interest.

    Read It

I read the article. I'm glad that FTM's are being noticed. I'm saddened by some of the attitudes that some lesbians and feminists have toward transgenders.
