In my "Beware the little things" topic, I related discovering that the lemon juice in the fridge had a big TESS label... what a strange way for my wife to tell me she'd discovered my secret! (But it turned out I'd labeled it myself and it had been labeled for a month unnoticed!)

I was on a mailing list, (snail mail), of a crossdressing clothing company in Florida. I did NOT ask to be on the list, they just started sending me mail in envelopes. One day the evelope came and it had been opened and sealed back with scotch tape. I have no idea who opened it or why.

I keep Helen's email address (on yahoo) completely separate from our email addresses through our ISP. Don't even store Usernames and Passwords on the computer.
I hadn't thought about mailing lists, not that I am on any at the moment.

The e-mail was not related to crossdressing at all

After I received a card in the mail one day last summer, for a sale at a local store. (dresses of course) I made sure to mention to the owner that I wanted no more mail sent my house.
Phyliss has her own e-mail address, and she also has her own box at the local postal center.

6 years ago, during my first attempt at dressing, I'd lost myself to the feel of holdups. We'd had a light week at work, I'd gone home and gotten dressed by 6pm, around 10pm I decided to sneak back into the office and put in a "night shift" so I could leave around 8am as people were starting to arrive.

I got in, sat down at my desk giggled, fired up my computer and, lost in thought, nearly screamed when our secretary tapped me on the shoulder. I hadn't heard her walk in, she walked round and sat on my desk next to my keyboard, and with every step I could hear that soft swish that stockings make under jeans.

Then I realized that this bombshell of a woman was sitting on my desk chatting and I was staring at her *feet*, specifically her shoes, and that wonderful look of stockinged feet in heels, and there was quick a glint in her eyes. Apparently she and a bunch of other people were working late, and they all piled in and variously came to talk to me, and I could barely think. I spent an hour desperately trying to keep my feet buried under my desk etc, and eventually said I wasn't feeling good and went home.

She'd never worn stockings before but they were a daily staple after that.

Sadly for me that proved a big setback simply because it turned out she had a thing for me; but that little experience made me too chicken to persue it. Mores the pitty because she recently mentioned that night to me and said she'd noticed my reaction, and hadn't been able to concentrate the rest of the night imagining what it'd be like to take me home and get me to put on a pair of stockings and then get rather intimate, or any time she walked past me and could tell that I could hear her walking past me and knew it was the stockings.

    Paradise lost

I was running an online clothing site for CD's a while back. I used to get mail at the house from time to time. The kids never asked about who it was addressed to. The one time when I was dropping the oldest one off at school I got a phone call about one of the items on the site. I had to tell the person to hold on while I got my son off to school. Then I could talk. That was very close.

Unfortunatly my wife had issues with the site, even though it was making money. I had to close it down.
my sister's reply when I told her how I prefer to dress

I have too many to relate but last weekend I went to gender inclusive cookout (not dressed ). I was so thrilled at meeting others, they made me feel at home. I now have made another leap in my acceptance of my self.

[SIZE="3"]I have seperate emails for Bruey and for Anna, and nobody can get into my computer as it has a password on it that only I know and all but one of my screensavers are passworded. I think the thing that would give the game away is my ICQ account as it is in the name of Anna. I don't use the email address that I got from my ISP as it hasn't recieved anything for months.

I get women's clothing and cosmetics catalogs in the mail all the time addressed to Marie _____. My wife just hands them over to me and says "enjoy but don't spend to much".

    She's a gem.

I've had a few scares.20 years ago I ordered a cd clothing catalog and it came to the house "brown bagged" and stamped "adult materiel enclosed". I was sharing a house with my Mom and Sister who got to the mail an hour before I did.Fortunately, they didn't open it and they thought it had just sort of been mailed to me inadvertantly like Domino's Pizza Coupons. When they told me about it I almost had a heart attack, but fate smiled on me and they didn't open it but they did throw it away.Another time,I think it was in 1983, I had a small apartment and this old lady who more or less functioned as the building manager for the people who owned the apartments noticed a Frederick's of Hollywood catalog of mine that the mailman had left with the magazines and junk mail instead of putting it in my mailbox. So it was out where several people saw it.She was very stoney faced and doleful about that catalog for a couple of months afterward. Spammers throw a million foulballs and, once or twice, a word here or there will resonate with someone. It's all game theory - probability and superstition. What's cool (sorta) is the 'spam poetry' headers (nonsense words used to evade filters) sometimes are poetry in an eecummings kinda way. Crazy flip city.

Occasionally in my posts I refer to "an unfortunate incident".

My wife has known about my dressing for many years (has never seen Mitzi), dislikes it intensely, but other than an occasional hurtful diatribe, had kinda looked the other way.

About three years ago, I'd won an auction on ebay for a wedding gown, but hadn't received it yet. (I have a mail service where my femme things are sent). When I got home from running some errands, my fuming wife demanded to know why I was buying a wedding gown... Ummm, how did you know... The seller mixed up her packages and sent the wrong one. She contacted ebay, got my phone number and called while I was out...

Thankfully, she eventually got over her anger, and we're still together, but Mitzi is now in deep stealth mode.

My wife was showing her sister some things she had on watch, amonst those thing were size 16 female clothing. My S.O. is NOT a size 16. Fortunately the sister did not pickup on why we were watching them

The first time I usd my PO box number for a delivery, the company made a mistake and sent it to my home address anyway. Luckily I was expecting some IT materials at the same time and my wife assumed that it was these. I had also ordered some other femme items and spent an uncomfortable few days wondering if they would arrive at the house as well

I had a similar experience. I had ordered a wig from Beauty Trends. I always got the mail or UPS before my wife got home. But, wouldn't you know, the one day that she was home for a snow day was the day the package arrived and she opened it. Now, she never opens packages addressed to me, but I thought I was being clever by adding Mrs. to my name, so it was actually addressed to her.

I convinced her it must have been sent by mistake and that I would take care of it and return it. Of course I never did.

I don't have these kinds of problems. My wife and kids all know so I don't worry about emails, mail or deliveries.

I've ordered from Lany Bryant several times... each time it triggers a flood of catalogs in the mailbox from Lane Bryant, Romans and a few other stores. I usually finally end up getting frustrated enough with the volume (several per week) that I call them to get taken off the list.

I used my wife's name and credit card when I placed the order, so at least the things come to her (and she knows about my dressing), not Cristi.

But I've got to wonder what the mail delivery person (who knows us) thinks of my petite wife getting all the 'large woman' clothing catalogs!

One time I was apparently given a gift subscription to a gay magazine that was much too risque. I ignored the first issue as a fluke, despite my full real name on the label. After the second issue arrived, I wrote to the publisher, and as politely as I could, explained, that I had not subscribed, and while I support gay rights, I was not at all interested in gay pornography. No explanation was ever given, but the magazine issues finally stopped arriving.
    Hugs,

    Bernice

Last year my wife let me get a VS Angel Card. It is about the only way to get onto their catalog mailing list. She doesn't know about JoAnn, but does that I like to look at the VS catalog and I even collect them. Well once you get onto on catalog list, then you start getting catalogs from others. So when the next catalog came in and it didn't bother her, I got on the net and subscribed to other fem catalogs, using my drab name. Now I get a catalog every couple of weeks. When I get home all she says is, "You got another catalog". As a joke, I keep telling her that one day I might buy something from one of them. She responed by saying, "You can get most of those items cheaper at Walmart". LOL

I would have to say no as I would never invade my SO's privacy in such a manner.

Once late at night I was sorting through some of my old CD pictures on my hard drive when my mom walks in and asks "What are you looking at!?"

I was scared half to death...I had no idea what to say.

Then she asked "Are you looking at Porn?" I laughed and said it was just a picture a friend sent me. She nodded, asked to see the picture, I showed her a picture of my friend.

It was quite a close encounter. How she would confuse a crossdress picture with porn? I have no idea.

As far as the catalogues, I get at least one or two a week. At first I tried to hide them from my family, but they only ended up piling up. Eventually my mom caught a hold of a few of them in the trash and asked "Why are you throwing these out!? There's some good stuff in here". She even wondered why it was addressed to me. I explained that I kept recieving junk mail because I somehow enrolled into some online spam list.

    Another close call :P
