    Question Femme names

    Hi everyone,

I just changed my name. It feels awkward using it, but it's more apt for me. I've adopted the feminized ending of my birth first name. I'm wondering how many names you've gone through before you settled, or did you always know your femme name, or are you still trying names on?

Hi Thea! That's a nice name - uncommon and yet distinctive.

I flirted with a couple of names (Rebecca-Becky and Jennifer) before settling on Jenna.

I'm still on my first name, but I'm thinking about changing my name to one that suits my personality better and fits my family tradition with naming (the vast majority of people on my dad's side of the family's names begin with "J").

I'm kind of leaning towards "Jodi".

    Jodi, thats a nice name......

Jodie was my first choice, and the Lynn got added to soften it and give it that country girl flavor.

Been Rebecca ever since I realized I needed a name.

    what's in a name...

As the wife of my gorgeous crossdresser I picked Corynn's name for a few reasons. First, it cloesly resembles her common name so that's where I started - her personality is sensual but very shy and a bit giddy at times. Corynn, the name is playful and shy. She loved the spelling and I think it will always be Corynn, born from love, understanding and devotion to our marriage.

I thought about it a couple of weeks till I came up with Shelly. She was my first girl friend. The last name i'm using lately wich I think I will keep is Carlson, 'cause my dad's name is Carl. Funny hu.

I have always felt my name should have been Jennifer, but got stuck with Jeffrey. Originally was suppose to be Geoffrey, but the registrar messed up, Jeffrey was the result.
I did shorten it to Jenni and to close friends it has turned into Jen-Jen

Thea is Greek in origin and means "Goddess". I love that name, you should keep it.

My name, Brianna, just came to me. I just looked up my name meaning and it is, Celtic, meaning "strong one".

I guess that's fitting, seeing that I've gone from joining this group, to going out in public, in less than six months.

I've just had the one name and I can't see myself ever changing it. Bonnie was my first best friend when I was about 5. I loved the name ever since. D is for Dawn, a name I chose because each day is like a new beginning.

BD are also my real initials.

    Linnea

I've tried a couple of other names, but Linnea is the one that I have kept and liked the best. For awhile I went by Carol which is a variation of my male middle name. At a few other times I uses Willa which is a name I like very much and relates to an American novelist (Willa Cather) whom I like. Linnea has outlasted either of those, although I use Carol as my middle name.

Only ever had one femme name, Susan Nichole. I like it, my wife likes it and it really suits me. Why worry about it, we were given a name when we were born, so we give ourslves a name when we discover her. Go with it.

    Smile Beautiful Name!

    Your name is YOU!
I am very new to all this, but my name was the easy part to pick. It is the feminized of the name I have been called all my life. My problem is picking a COLOR for hair, nails and clothing.
    Have a great day.

    Love,

I started with "Linda" but got to know too many GG Lindas. When one passed away, I wasn't comfortable using the name anymore.

I borrowed "Kay" from Diane Keaton's character in the "Godfather" films. And K is the first letter of my birth name.

We went thru a baby naming book to find Paige's name..Picked one name from every letter that we liked best and then picked from there. It was a long process, but we came up with a name we both like and I got to be a part of it

I've only used one female name but I don't use it anymore, not even to refer to myself. It just feels too much like "let's pretend". So instead I use a gender neutral name that fits me no matter what I happen to be: Casey Morgan. I've even signed up on "regular" forums as Casey to try it out. I don't forsee any more name changes in my future. Well, except maybe a legal name change...
