    in case of emergency

I'd use the fire escape.. LOL!

I havn't gotten to this point yet.. I figured I'd use the back stairs... I rarely see people there and wouldn't have to stand next to them on a what would be a way toooooo LOOOOOOONG elevator ride...

    An elevator story

I was once with several girls in a downtown hotel (OK, leave it at that). It was Saturday, and we were all in a room one of the girls from out of town was staying in. About 1:00PM three of us decided to go out for lunch, so we headed for the elevator. When it opened, it was nearly full of people!

Here we were, standing in front of the elevator with no where to go but in. The look on thier faces was surprise, and maybe a touch of fear, so Bambi (a dear friend) piped up and said, with a big smile: "I hope we're not too scary! Believe me, we're more scared of you!" Well, that broke the ice. The rest of the trip down we were joking and having a great time.

Once outside on the street we started walking up the block to the cafe. It was fun to watch people in the cars staring at us, and one of us remarked the we were what a lot of them came into that section to see.

    A true story!

A fabulous story, and an equally fabulous "defuser" line! A quick witted friend along is worth her weight in gold.

I forgot to mention the picture used in my avatar was taken while we were at lunch. I was wearing a long, blue dress with a side slit. It was also the first time out wearing my new hair.
