    guess this guys responce

I was listening to the radio going through stations and I happend upon a christian station with a caller asking about women wearing pants and how that applied to dueteronmy. The "christian" talk show host says, that is the old testiment, we don't live in the old testiment anymore. Relax, don't worry about what you heard, your wife isn't going to hell blah blah blah. So I went to the website and he is what I call the uber conservative type. So i'm thinking of writing him and asking him, if he feels what he said applys to men as well wearing skirts. Just wondering, what type of responce you might think I'll get. Will it be hypocritical saying, that is different. The open minded, no there is no difference. Or the easy road, no responce. My bet is on no responce. What do you think?

I hate conservatives and I hate the brainwashed religious cult fanatics, if he responds his statement will be predictable. Just remember as the years pass you'll come to find out that the talk show host downloads child porn. Yet we as CDer's will be smighted.

    Ladies, chill!

The last thing I am really interested in doing is defending so-called evangelicals. But It never ceases to amaze me that so many of my sisters here blow a gasket whenever they come across some "Christian" airing his or her views about what they believe is God's Final Word™ on things like sexuality and CDing, in particular.
But first and foremost, keep in mind that the entire issue "Christians" have with sexuality is completely alien to anything Jesus preached. It is worth stating here that Jesus Himself was not a Christian -- he was a Jew, and a very iconoclastic one, at that; remember, he was nailed to a cross for His rather liberal views and His complete contempt for the legalistic and ossified mindset of the Sanhedrinists and their stranglehold on Jewish life. In other words, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain -- these "preachers" and mouth-pieces for Christ are in more trouble than you or I, for they sow the seeds of hate and intolerance. If anything, Jesus may have decided for Himself that HE did not need to indulge in anything temporal and sensual ... beyond the necessities of carrying out His ministry. Remember this: each one of us carries spark of the Divine. God created us His image, and if you want to go the distance, God is the First and Last TS, CD or whatever. He made all of this. He is more in tune with our needs, desires, longings and hopes than is humanly possible. God loves you, no matter what. Does He love CDing? I bet dollars to eternity that He really doesn't care if we wera the clothing of the opposite sex or not.

And true, only time will tell.

For those of my beautiful sisters who are atheist or agnostic, just remember that those of us who do believe, and who do understand the Word, judge you not.

These people who claim to speak for Jesus or God do NO SUCH THING.

And tightsgirl, I am a conservative. I truly believe that you do not hate me, but that you may be angry and you get short-tempered with a class of people whose philosophy you do not understand, either on purpose or through ignorance ... I don't mean this in the pejorative sense, but say that perhaps you haven't explored the positions of conservatives on many issues. And this not the time or place for such discussions. I will only say that you debase yourself by hating anyone.

As my final thought on the issue of it being somehow OK for women to wear slacks but sinful for guys to wear pantyhose and heels, keep in mind that women in suits are not trying to be or feel masculine ... it is a fashion thing or a convenience thing. We, on the other hand, have identity issues and we do it for a number of reasons, and many of those reasons fall into the category of sexual gratification. And as I already pointed out, some people who stand inside the Christian tent see any sexuality as a threat and as a thing to be quashed. Let's not stoop to their level.

I know more about the conservative view point than you think, conservatives tend to be narrow minded, repressed, and think us liberals are a bunch of bleeding heart flip floppers. It has been my experience that most conservatives whether they want to admit it or not practice some form of racism and bigotry and I have no tolerence for intolerence.

I know that there are alot of hetrosexual CDer's here me being one of them, but because the world lacks understanding we tend to get lumped in with the gay community and thats fine with me I love my gay brothers and sisters. However I think Boy George said it best that "being a right wing homosexual is a lot like being a vegetarian butcher" and that may as well apply to CDer's.

I stand by my statement that I hate conservatives and religious fanatics, if that is your thing I mean no offense but I really don't think we have a lot to talk about its a venus and mars thing but on another level.

Very well put Dominique. I never saw anyone who looked good while hating. In fact I believe when you see an ugly person it's because they hate. Don't take that statement personal. Just that if you don't smile and you don't show your care about others your bound to turn ugly. In spite of your physical appearance. Just because you hold the banner of anyone group or ideology your not automatically right. I say there are a great many Conservatives and Christians who are ugly as well. But just don't take the liberal name as being the ultimate in being correct.

Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these.

We're all going to hell. Do they make asbestos panties.

Seriously don't you think God cares more about how we treat others than what kind of clothes we wear?

Noname, rather than try to guess (which in this case is actually "assume") what his response will be, why not just e-mail him and allow him to do what he's going to do? Sometimes when we respect others enough to not assume what they're going to do, we discover things in what they actually do that we might not have noticed otherwise.

Christina Nicole (post # 11), I couldn't agree with you more. It seems that many here will "cry foul" when their opinions and values are tread upon, but when the shoe is on the other foot, they'll fight each other to cast the first stone.

Many here seem to be interested in why I'd do this. Really, I'd like him to defend his logic. He can go two ways on this. ( discounting no responce ) He can say, yes you have every right to wear a skirt. Which would definately hurt his ratings, note he doesn't have to air the responce. Or he would have to travers his logic and say his origonal statement is incorrect. I hope I can shed a little light on the fallocy of his logic. Perhaps make him ponder a bit. I will either be surprised ( which I doubt ) or completely dumb founded at a whole new level of willful ignorance. Best case scenario, he could address churches and their need to accept all types of people.

Well, actually, I think we do have a lot to talk about. You are assigning me to a category of people that obviously touches a raw nerve. I think you know NOTHING about Conservatvism, especially in the historic sense. But as I said, this not the place for opening up Pandora's box. You hate conservatives, I hate liberal reactionary group-think. We can go on ad nauseum about the pros and cons of each other's world view. Are you as visceral in your emotion towards 'religious fanatics' who actually do kill people like us? Tightsgirl, don't get me wrong -- I just want explore the depths of your thoughts.

you should throw in the fact that if we don't go by the old testament then it is okay for a man to wear a skirt. because in the old testament is where it says that a man is not to wear womens clothing. it says nothing of it in the new testament. so you got him there. lol. i say to each his or her own.

All the gospels were written decades after the life and times of Jesus. What these apostles claim to be the as word[s] of the Master are nothing but their own interpretations and inventions. You, like so many others, have been broadsided by edited, annotated and fictitious teachings. If you really believe that Jesus preached any kind of vile or hurtful teachings, you have been misled.
